History
The Mind Gem was one of the Infinity Gems, blue in color, able to invade and manipulate every mind across existence. The user may also gain formidable psychic and psionic abilities.
The Mind Gem was owned by the Grandmaster, the only one of the Elders of the Universe who guessed at the Infinity Gems' full potential. He engaged Thanos in a war game on a mental plane with the Mind Gem as the prize. However, the Grandmaster was deceived by Thanos, and was rendered brain-dead. Thanos made the Mind Gem part of the Infinity Gauntlet.
The Mind Gem remained part of the Gauntlet until Adam Warlock was forced to separate it into its parts, at which point the Gem was given to Moondragon of the Infinity Watch. Moondragon used it to augment her already-formidable mental abilities.
Along with the other Infinity Gems, the Mind Gem was stolen by Rune and scattered across that entity's native reality. Adam Warlock is currently seeking them out.
