History
Devils (Japanese: 悪魔, Hepburn: Akuma or Japanese: デビル, Hepburn: Debiru) were demonic beings that were native to another plane of existence referred to as Hell (地じ獄ごく Jigoku?). Their kind were born as embodiments of the fear of concepts experienced by humanity.
Overview
In appearance, a Devils shape and bodily structure often have to do with the 'name' they embodied. Most Devils possessed human limbs, faces, bones, and other body parts. Devils who are friendly and are more inclined to humans will take on a very humanoid form in the natural state of their incarnation, some being indistinguishable from a human save from some subtle tells. There have still been some non-humanoid Devils who have been friendly towards humans.
