Biography
Irene Adler was a female Mutant who was born several centuries ago. She was noted to had been born into privilege where she lived a normal life until she was 13 when her power began to manifest allowing her to see events in the future along with various permutations of it. Though initially overwhelmed by the knowledge, she managed to gain control of it and started to write down her visions in a series of books over the course of 13 months. However, the events detailed also included possible futures with her not knowing which event was the true timeline. Furthermore, her mutations had caused her to become physically blind as a result. Adler sought to find the true future and enlisted the aid of a consulting detective named Raven Darkholme to help her in her quest. (X-Treme X-Men v1 #1)
At some point, she was known to had children and she eventually became a great-grandmother to Ruth Aldine though her great-granddaughter was unaware of her family history. (X-Men: Legacy v1 #233)
