Biography
Herman Schultz
With his suit, he attacked a building in order to rob from a safe where he used his vibro-smashers to break it in order to steal the money inside. It was then that he was confronted by Spider-Man who was attracted to the scene by the attack. This led to a fight between the pair but the Wall-Crawler was defeated by Shockers abilities. By the arms were vibro-shock units that were gauntlets capable of generating violent vibrations that he was able to fire at targets. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #46) He was able to adjust the intensity of his attacks with the weakest capable of knocking out a person. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #72)
Alternatively, they could make his punches a dozen times more potent than normal. One of his attacks involved a double vibro-smash that was a twin punch thus sending the combined force of both vibro-smashers. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #46)

- The Shocker was created by Stan Lee and John Romita, Sr. where he made his first appearance in Amazing Spider-Man v1 #46 (March, 1967).
- According to Untold Tales of Spider-Man, the novel said that Shocker had a younger brother named Marty who was a boy when their parents died.
