Biography
Boruto Uzumaki (Japanese: うずまき ボルト, Hepburn: Uzumaki Boruto) was the blonde haired son of Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Uzumaki with him having a younger sister named Himawari Uzumaki.
Sasuke, however, refused to take Boruto on as a student unless he learnt the Rasengan with the overconfident Boruto going forth to begin his training. This saw him going to his sensei Konohamaru in order to learn the jutsu.
Upon making eye contact with Garaga, he was drawn into the giant snake's memories which showed that in the past he had been betrayed by his shinobi summoner on a mission which left him with a wound on his eye. It was then that Garaga demanded to know why Boruto was seeking his reverse scale with Uzumaki stating that it was needed so he could find out what happened to his friend Mitsuki. Garaga was dismissive of Boruto's childish views and believed that Mitsuki had betrayed his friend as this was the way of the shinobi. After seeing Garaga's life, Boruto decided to prove the giant snake wrong and asked him to be Uzumaki's temporary summons so he could show that Mitsuki was innocent out in the world. However, he promised that if he was wrong and Mitsuki had indeed betrayed him and his friends then he would allow Garaga to consume him. The giant snake was amused at the deal and decided to accept it as he was confident that Boruto was wrong with the two making the temporary summoning contract. They then approached the White Snake Sage who was amused at Boruto's actions and decided to help uncover the memories within Mitsuki's snake. From there, they determined that Mitsuki had allowed the chunnin guard to live and that there were other people responsible for the attack at the gates of the hidden leaf village.
Overview
Personality and attributes
Initially, he had no issues with cheating as he believed the ultimate goal of a game or a fight was to win. This led to him initially being willing to cheat in order to win such as his use of a scientific ninja tool in the Chunnin Exams.
Boruto had said that he was determined in forging his own ninja way.
He said that as a man he could take being disappointed by his father for not being there for him. However, he did not want his younger sister Himawari to go through the same experience and thus did not want her to cry as a result. Boruto even said that he would fight with his father if he made his sister cry by not being there for her.
Boruto came to admire Sasuke Uchiha as he saw him as a shinobi that did whatever he wanted and did not do the boring duties of a Hokage. Thus, he was resolved in becoming more like him rather than his own father.
It was during his fathers fight against Momoshiki Otsutsuki that Boruto came to admire his father and understand the weight of the responsibilities on him along with the hardships he had experienced in his life.
Powers and abilities
Among the techniques known to him included:
- Boruto Stream (ボルトストリーム, Boruto Sutorīmu) : a technique using the wind release jutsu whereby others helped accelerate the movements of a person. Boruto often used his Shadow Clones to propel him forward and could also have his allies use the technique to increase their speed.
- Summoning Technique (口寄せの術, Kuchiyose no Jutsu) : the ability to instantly summon and teleport an object to his location. On one occasion, he made a temporary contract with a giant snake named Garaga that he could summon out in the world.
- Shadow Clone Technique (影分身の術, Kage Bunshin no Jutsu) : from a young age, Boruto could manifest the Shadow Clone jutsu where initially he could only produce 3 copes of himself and he had to have them in line of sight in order for them to work.
- Vanishing Rasengan (消える螺旋丸, Kieru Rasengan) : a variation of the Rasengan that Boruto had created subconsciously when attempting to learn the technique. He changed the chakra nature creating a new jutsu by the addition of lightning style into it. This led to a Rasengan that formed and disappeared only to reappear just as it hit the target thus making it invisible mid-flight.
