Biography
Rin Tohsaka (Japanese: 遠坂 凛, Hepburn: Tōsaka Rin) was a female human who was the daughter of Tokiomi Tohsaka (遠坂時臣, Tōsaka Tokiomi?) and Aoi Tohsaka (遠坂葵, Tohsaka Aoi?) with her being the older sister of Sakura where they were part of the Tohsaka mage family.

She was noted for being born with a talent for being able to manipulate all five great animals that was deemed an extremely rare talent for a magi.
Tohsake mad use of a variety of jewels that she could utilise in combat and had to purchase them for the task. Each of the jewels was noted to cost as much as 500,000 yen each. These crystals of the gems were naturally able to store mana within them.
Rin had a special one-of-a-kind jewel that was given to her as part of her inheritance from her father. It was noted for being a century old family heirloom that was the equivalent of ten years worth of magical energy.
