Biography

Jogo (Japanese: 漏じょう瑚ご, Hepburn: Jōgo?) was a male Cursed Being who was born in the modern age in Japan.

He accompanied the pseudo-Geto to a restaurant where he was joined by Hanami and Dagon where they had a meeting to discuss the plan to destroy all humans. Their main contention though was defeating the jujutsu sorcerers with Suguru teling him that they first needed to seal Satoru Gojo and get Sukuna on their side. During the meeting, Jogo reveals that they plan to destroy all the humans. Jogo also asks Suguru on how to defeat the sorcerers, which Suguru tells him that they first need to seal Gojo and then they need Sukuna on their side. As Jogo suggest that they just go kill Gojo, Suguru tells him that they're not capable of doing that and that they will need a specific seal to trap Gojo. As Jogo gets excited and increases the temperature, Suguru tells him to calm down which Jogo responds by killing everyone in the restaurant. Jogo then asks Suguru how many of Sukuna's finger does his strength equal to, which Suguru tells him. Jogo gets excited and says that he will just go and kill Gojo.

Later, Jogo goes to attack Gojo when he was alone. Jogo throws multiple attacks at Gojo, but is shocked when Gojo is revealed to be unharmed. Gojo explained how his ability works and sticks out his arm to show him. Jogo is hesitant at first but decides to test it out, and finds out that he could not touch Gojo even though he is still reaching out to Gojo's hand. As Jogo refused to accept this, Gojo takes this chance to land multiple blows on Jogo. Jogo was then sent flying when Gojo simply kicks him. Jogo notices that Gojo is keeping up with him and decides to attack, which Gojo dodges and lands a hit on Jogo. Jogo remembers how Suguru had told him that he would die, as he decides to drag Gojo into his domain. Jogo wonders where Gojo is, when he suddenly shows up with Yuji. Jogo thinks about how he can't kill Yuji and asks why Yuji is here. Gojo says that Yuji is here to observe, to which Jogo replies with saying that that is foolish. Gojo responds that it will be okay since Jogo is weak, which makes Jogo angry. Jogo activates his domain expansions and traps Gojo and Yuji in it. Jogo is then shocked when Gojo and Yuji are fine and that nothing is working against Gojo. Jogo gets angry at Gojo, but he is suddenly trapped by Gojo's domain expansion. Jogo notices that he is now capable of seeing and feeling everything, Gojo then grabs him and explains how his technique works. Gojo says that he will spare Jogo since he has questions, and undoes his technique while also beheading him. Gojo then starts to asks questions, but Jogo is saved by Hanami. Later Jogo was brought into Dagon's Domain Expansion, where Suguru explained how they will have to deal with Gojo at another time and place.

Before October 31, Jogo met with Geto and talked about how to weaken Gojo in a fight. They planned out to counter Gojo's techniques by surrounding him with innocent people. Jogo was then informed that the curses would have to distract Gojo for at least 20 minutes before Geto could use the Prison Realm to seal Gojo. Later, while Jogo was playing mahjong with Hanami, Mahito, and Geto, Geto explained how the Prison Realm's barrier works. Jogo was initially furious about the seemingly impossible task, though Geto later clarified the requirements. At some point, Jogo and Hanami were taught how to perform domain amplification by Pseudo-Geto. On October 31, Jogo was with Hanami and Choso on the Fukutoshin Line Platform in the curtain at Shibuya, awaiting Gojo's arrival. At 8:40 P.M., Gojo arrived at their location, poised to fight them. Instead of directly fighting him, the cursed spirits blocked Gojo's exit and surrounded him with civilians, which they ruthlessly slaughtered while approaching Gojo. As Choso attacked Gojo with Slicing Exorcism, Hanami and Jogo used the chance to strike Gojo while enveloped in domain amplification, bypassing his Infinity, though Gojo managed to evade their attacks at the last second. When Jogo taunted Gojo for running away by killing a civilian, Gojo removed his blindfold and replied that he was surprised that the curses thought that they could defeat him before declaring he will kill Hanami first.

As Gojo approached Hanami and Jogo, the two cursed spirits simultaneously attacked him, but the sorcerer easily dodged their attacks and even managed to rip Jogo's arm off. Jogo decided to distance himself from Gojo while also regenerating his arm, but Gojo chased after him. When Hanami tried to attack with their cursed technique, Jogo yelled at them to not deactivate their amplification, but it was too late as Gojo capitalized on the chance and ripped out the branches on Hanami's head, weakening them. Jogo was astonished about how strong Gojo was without using his cursed technique. As Choso distracted Gojo with an attack, Jogo and Hanami tried to attack Gojo again with domain amplification. In response, Gojo strengthened his technique and crushed Hanami against a wall. Jogo tried to stop Gojo by threatening the lives of nearby civilians, but Gojo still followed through with his threat, exorcising Hanami. Gojo then told Jogo that he was next. Using the crowd of humans as cover, Jogo engaged Gojo in hit-and-run tactics using domain amplification to stall for time. He yelled at Choso to help out unless he wanted to be killed, which Choso halfheartedly obliged by attacking Gojo. Jogo then wondered what was taking Geto so long, as more than 20 minutes have passed. Suddenly, a train arrived at the station, relieving Jogo. From inside the train, transfigured humans poured out and began attacking the civilians. Along with the mutated humans was Mahito, who Jogo informed about Hanami's death.

Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, Jogo was a humanoid entity who was short and had pale blue skin with a single eye in the face of his face with him having black teeth. The upper part of his head resembled a volcano and he had two hole-like ears by the side with all three able to erupt when he was angry.

He demonstrated immense pride in being a cursed spirit and had a passionate hatred for humans.

Jogo believed that cursed spirits are the true humans and they are the ones who will inherit the earth. He saw humans as creatures made of lies pretending to hide their true nature with the positive emotions they show. Curses are made up of negative emotions that Jogo views as pure intent, and so he thinks that curses born from such truth are the purest forms of humans and the fake ones should be eliminated.

Powers and abilities

As a Cursed Spirit (呪じゅ霊れい Jurei?), Jogo was a spiritual undead entity that was born from the negative emotions of humanity. This made him invisible to the eyes of ordinary humans except to those that gained access to cursed energy. Among his kind, he was a particularly powerful Curse (呪のろい Noroi?) with him being classed as a Special Grade (特とっ級きゅう Tokkyū?). This meant that he possessed a great amount of cursed energy with him being equated with 8 or 9 of Sukuna's fingers. With this energy, he could perform a variety of jujutsu techniques that were centred on fire and lava attacks. With his powers, he could incinerate people with even sorcerers being killed by his flames.

Jogo relies entirely on his cursed technique in battle and used it relentlessly without exhausting himself. Jogo can also construct a domain and use a maximum technique, both testaments to his mastery over jujutsu and overall cursed energy reserves. Jogo possessed a volcanic innate technique that allowed him to produce highly concentrated cursed flames. He could generate flames or shoot heat rays from his palms or manifest small volcanic openings in the environment that erupted his powerful beams as well.

Techniques known to him included:

  • Ember Insects (火か礫れき蟲ちゅう Karekichū?) :
  • Maximum: Meteor (極ごくノの番ばん「隕いん」 Gokunoban・In?) :
  • Coffin of the Iron Mountain (蓋がい棺かん鉄てっ囲ち山せん Gaikan Tecchisen?) :
  • Domain Amplification (領りょう域いき展てん延えん Ryōiki Ten'en?) :
