Gigan appeared to be something like a mercenary. Sent from the star Nebula Space Hunter M, the creature has blades on its hands, a buzzsaw in its chest, a sharp beak, and flight capability. (Some versions have also given it a laser fired from its head.)
Gigan made two appearances. The first time, it was by a race of cockroach-like aliens, along with Ghidorah, where they battled Godzilla and Anguirus and lost. The second time, he were used by the Seatopians, along with Megalon, where they battled Godzilla and Jet-Jaguar and lost.
Zonefighter
Gigan was used by the Gargoas, enemies of Zonefighter; he battled Godzilla again there.

Huge monster sent by Zoe Ketterling to devastate Russia; it was defeated by Anguirus.
Comments
Gigan was also used by the Xians in the Godzilla NES game and in the Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee game. In the latter, Gigan gained the ability to teleport.
