Biography

He was one of a number of sentient planets that were all siblings to one another and sought to provide to the younger races. However, one among them was wary of these people but the living worlds migrated sentients onto their surface and sought to fulfill all their needs. But these people would constantly take and instead ravage the planet. Among the only survivors was Raga who became more vindictive and killed the people that populated his surface in order to preserve himself. Mogo attempted to reason with his mad brother and even threatened him but he would not listen. Thus, to stop his sibling, Mogo moved to kill his sibling leaving the dead world vacant in space. (Green Lantern: New Guardians v1 #31)

Whilst within the pre-universe, Mogo and those Green Lanterns with him were attacked by the Lightsmiths who had their Power Convertors drain the energy from the living planet. As the various Lightsmith clans attempted to terraform the planet, Mogo took control of the various energies of the Emotional Spectrum that were tearing him apart and shattered the staffs of the invading light wielders. With it, he repelled the Lightsmiths but in the process was transformed into a living emotional convertor for the various spectrums of light. The Green Lanterns rallied with Mogo as they sought a way back to their universe where they rendezvoused at the Source Wall. (Green Lantern: The Lost Army v1 #6)
