Biography
The Red Torpedo was a female elemental robot that controlled water who was created by the scientist T. O. Morrow. (Red Tornado v2 #1) He was noted to had built her in a automotive plant in Czechoslovakia where she was intended to be his enforcer. At the time, the European Union had formed and Morrow had her steal money from various sites to fund his operations. Though sentient, she agreed to her creators plans as he used them to support their living but in time his ambitions grew and he desired her to steal weapons. At this time in history, the Soviet Union had collapsed and Morrow intended to capitalise on the event to secure an arsenal for himself. However, the Red Torpedo disagreed with her maker and ultimately rebelled against him where she fled from him. Despite leaving him, T.O. Morrow came to eventually track her down where he returned her to his laboratory with her being left paralysed. Her father stated that he intended to deactivate her and start again with a new android to be a more dutiful child. Upon being shut down, he hid her in a wrecked submarine deep underwater near Pearl Harbour with her being placed in a torpedo tube with the intention of never being reactivated again. Despite this being the case, the Red Torpedo re-configured her distress beacon to emit a signal passed on her brain patter where she believed that this would be registered by the other Morrow androids that he created in the future. This was with the hope that one of these siblings would one day reactivate her at a latter date. (Red Tornado v2 #2)
After the Construct was freed, it proceeded with taking control of every mechanical being on the planet. This included Red Torpedo and her siblings within the 'Red Family'. (Justice League of America v2 #60)
