Biography
Origin
Jenni Ognats was a super-speedster and descendant of the Flash and the Tornado Twins who was a native of the 30th century.
Shortly after Jenni's birth, their family was attacked by the villainous Professor Zoom. They, along with the family of her uncle Don Allen, attempted to flee to a parallel Earth using the Cosmic Treadmill. However, Zoom sabotaged the device, causing an explosion which created a rift in the Multiverse. Zoom was ultimately defeated by an army of three different Legions of Super-Heroes, but Jenni and her family were subsequently stranded on Earth-247. (Final Crisis: Legion of Three Worlds v1 #3)
Her speed powers manifested when a force of Dominators captured Jenni and her father, and tortured the latter after trying to examine her genetic makeup.
At the sight of her father Jeven Ognats of Aarok being tortured, her latent super-speed powers activated. She managed to escape with her father before stray fire from the Dominators caused their base to explode. (Legion of Super Heroes Annual v4 #6)
After escaping with her father and taking refuge with the United Planets, she was eventually drafted into the Legion of Super-Heroes.
XS, Jay Garrick, Johnny Quick, Iris Allen and Linda park visited Max Mercury in the hospital. Savitar's avatars attacked them, but the speedsters powers returned thanks to the actions of Flash and Jesse Quick. They defeated the avatars, and all the speedster except XS went to confront Savitar. XS was wounded during the fight with the avatars and was left behind to protect Iris and Linda. (Impulse v1 #11) XS and Impulse spent time together, playing video games and visiting the Rock and Roll Music Museum. Impulse told her she could stay with him as long as she wanted. They went to a school dance, but when Lonnie Beale of the band Generation Why was a no-show they went to go find him. His old manager the Colonel and some thugs were threatening him, and after Impulse and XS defeated the criminals they rushed Lonnie to the dance. Lonnie was knocked out by an overzealous female fan, so Bart and XS borrowed instruments from the Rock and Roll Museum and got up on stage and played. They were a hit, but after their performance XS told him she really had to get back home to the 30th Century. Before she ran through time she told Bart to stay in touch if he could. (Impulse v1 #12)
