Elemental Plane of Water
The Elemental Plane of Water is one of the basic building blocks of the cosmos. It takes the form of an infinite expanse of water, with the occasional bubble providing the only empty space. It is inhabited by water elementals, and water elemental forms of mundane swimming creatures.
Where the elemental plane of water touches the Elemental Plane of Air it creates the Paraelemental Plane of Ice. Where the elemental plane of water touches the Elemental Plane of Earth it creates the Paraelemental Plane of Ooze. Where the elemental plane of water touches the Positive Energy Plane it creates the Quasielemental Plane of Steam. Where the elemental plane of water touches the Negative Energy Plane it creates the Quasielemental Plane of Salt.
Dark Sun
The paraelements are arranged differently in Dark Sun: Ice is replaced with rain, and ooze is replaced with silt. In addition, the positive and negative energy planes don't exist, so there are no quasielemental planes.
