Hybrid (Hulk)

The Hybrid was a female character that featured in The Incredible Hulk cartoon.

Biography

The Hybrid was originally known as Diana who was part of an unknown organization and was dispatched into S.H.I.E.L.D to serve as a double agent. Once inside the organization, she became involved partly with Gabriel Jones in order to lull him in a state of complacency. She was sent into the S.H.I.E.L.D sea base in order to locate an aquatic parasitic hybrid lifeform that was being cultivated by the organization to serve as a means of improving their infiltration methods. Whilst attempting to capture some of the creatures, she was discovered by Agent Gabriel Jones and during the struggle she fell into the pool with the organisms. As she fell inside, the creatures attacked her and seemingly devoured her. Her body was buried out at sea despite her being a double agent.

However, Diana had not died but transformed by the creatures into a parasitic lifeform that became known as the Hybrid.

Background

Powers and abilities

After being consumed by the parasitic hybrid organisms, Diana became the Hybrid and gained the abilities to possess other forms of life thus taking them over. This allowed her to take over one host and another making her capable of infiltrating organizations easily as well as gaining the abilities of a superhuman host. However, this came at the cost of her freedom as the only way she could survive was by parasitism and taking over a living host.
