Origin
They were the embodiment of the beyond where they were the outside in the Wild Space beyond reality. (Captain America and the Mighty Avengers v1 #6)
Beyond
Jason Quantrell hired the scientists of W.E.S.P.E. to build a dimensional portal where they accidently opened a doorway that killed them with the Beyond Corporation coming to Earth. The CEO of Cortex Inc. was replaced with an entity that was part of the living corporation. (Captain America and the Mighty Avengers v1 #6)
Overview
It was said that they were many that acted as one like a collective and were the embodiment of the beyond. The entities it represented had many goals such as studying other beings or preserving them or simply to play with them. (Captain America and the Mighty Avengers v1 #6)
