History
Raziel was born sometime between 520 to 550 years ago where he was a normal Human that had joined the ranks of the Sarafan warrior priests. He was a lieutenant along with his six comrades who were Turel, Rahab, Dumah, Zephon and Melchiah. They were assigned to storm the mountain retreat of the legendary ancient vampire Janos Audron. Upon entering his home, they slew the vampire and removed his heart called the Heart of Darkness as well as took the ancient vampire holy weapon known as the Reaver. After they returned to their stronghold, the Raziel and his comrades were confronted by a wraith who slew them. Unknown to the group, the wraith was actually a future version of Raziel who, in his anger as seeing Audron slain, slew his past self and his comrades.
Overview
Personality and attributes
He was an upstanding and moral character who rarely questioned his own actions or their consequences for he believed that they were always good and moral. He had a strong sense of nobleness and that his title meant he had to oblige situations. However, he often found himself in situations that were not of his making that that he ended up doing the wrong actions for the right reasons. His actions often turned out to be flawed and immoral in nature in the nature of the lack of logic he applied to the formulation of his plans which means that he often found himself a willing or unwilling pawn to others.
When he was a mortal man, he was determined in fulfulling the Sarafan goal of systematically wiping out the vampire race in a fanatical quest to rid the Human world of his perception of evil.
After being transformed into a vampire, his life as a mortal was forgotten and he applied the same zeal as a vampire hunter to the establishment of his masters emprie under the belief that vampires as a higher form of life had the right to rule the world.
Upon being turned into the spectral creature by the Elder God, Raziel went on a relentless quest in massacring his former brethren. This was not only for enacting his vengeance but also as a means of settling the balance of existence. He often claimed that hsi sole motivation in his undead life was to save the world and that he was guided by his morals. His anger as the betrayals he had faced meant that he switched from one master to another on a regular basis.
Powers and abilities
As a vampire, he possessed the usual vampirc traits of all of Kain's descendants which was limited telekinesis, inhuman strength, speed, agility, enhanced reflexes, a greater resistance to physical harm and a healing ability. He was also known to possess a Dark ift which some believed was the power of flight or even greater physical abilities that were enhanced to unknown levels. He also suffered from their characteristic weaknesses which was water that burnt his skin as if it were an acid.
Upon being transformed into a wraith, his former vampiric attributes were enhanced along with several additional abilities. He had the capacity to will himself into the material realm through the aid of portals and enter back into the spectral realm. Furthermore, while scouring Nosgoth for his brothers which he killed, he gained new powers by consuming their souls. From Melchiah he gained the power to phase through gates in the spectral realm, in Dumah he gained the power to generate a ban of constricting energy, while from Raha he gained a true immunity to water and from Zephon he was capable of sticking to rough surface walls in the material realm. After the defeat of Turelim, he also learnt the power to project telekinetic force blasts at his enemies.
Within the spectral realm, Raziel bonded with a spirit trapped within the Soul Reaver after his defeat at the hands of Kain and through this the Wraith Blade was forged. It was capable of being imbued with fire through the fire forge and other elemental forges adding various additional enhancements to the supernatural blade.
