History
An aggressive tribe of Morlocks led by Carver began to wage a war against the Moloids that lived further underground. At the same time, one of their number who was a mindless feral Morlock named Fugue started killing people from the surface. This attracted the attention of the N.Y.P.D., Wolverine and Spider-Man who sought to stop the murders. After mistakenly believing the perpetrators to be the Moloids, the Mole Man emerged and revealed the true culprits. This led to Wolverine challenging their leader Carver to a trial by combat where a collapse led to both him along with Fugue falling into an underground fiery chasm. (Wolverine v2 #157)

- Carver : a muscular male with a human appearance who had the Mutant power of an unbreakable skin and a single large claw that emerged from his arms. He was the leader of an aggressive tribe of Morlocks that started fighting against the Mole Man and later fought Wolverine in a trial by combat where he fell into a fiery chasm after the tunnels began to collapse. - Fugue : a feral furred clawed member of Carvers tribe who had the mind of a child and succumbed to beastial rages with him killing people from the surface. During Carvers fight with Wolverine, Fugue jumped into he fight with Logan knocking him off into a fiery chasm. (Wolverine v1 #157)
Notes
- Morlocks were created by Chris Claremont and Paul Smith where they made their first appearance in Uncanny X-Men #169 (May, 1983).

- In X-Men, the Morlock appeared in the episode "Captive Hearts" where they were led by Callisto and lived in the sewers of the city.
- In Wolverine and the X-Men, the Morlocks made their first appearance in the episode "Excessive Force" where they were shown to be outcasts that lived in the sewers. The Marauders were shown to be hunting a Morlock in order to acquire his genetic material for Mister Sinister in the use for his experiments. This Mutant was saved by Cyclops who was hunting down the Marauders in order to find Sinister as he believed the geneticist had Jean Grey hostage.
