In other media

Television

  • In Ultimate Spider-Man, the armor made an appearance an the second seas where it made its animated debut in the episode "Second Chance Hero". Similar to the comics, it was shown as being created by Norman Osborn where it resembled Iron Man's suit with blasters, missiles in the shoulders and a palladium power battery in the chest though its color scheme was that in Iron Man 3. Osborn began wearing the armor after the Goblin Serum was removed from his body where he vowed to make up for his villainous past by becoming a hero though one that used more aggressive means. He would battle and defeat the Frightful Four but Nick Fury would not trust Osborn and had Spider-Man attempt to bring him into custody when the pair were attacked by Dr. Octopus's Spider-Soldiers that were bred from Venom's substance. Spider-Man would take Harry Osborn to safety whilst Norman as Iron Patriot defeated the creatures. In the episode "Return of the Sinister Six", Osborn as Iron Patriot continued to support Spider-Man whilst being aggressive in his actions and helped fight the Lizard. He would join Spider-Man's hero team as an unofficial second in command when the reformed Sinister Six stole OsCorp tec from Ryker's Island. During the battle with the Sinister Six, Iron Patriot fought Doctor Octopus but was overwhelmed by the various super-villains who injected him with the Goblin Serum turning him into the Green Goblin once more.
  • In Avengers Assemble, the armor made an appearance in the episode "Exodus". It was shown as one of the various armors in Tony Stark's possession and remotely controlled by J.A.R.V.I.S.

Films

  • In Iron Man 3, the Iron Patriot armor made an appearance with an inverted color scheme with the primary being blue. It was shown as being the War Machine armor taken by James Rhodes who repainted and upgraded it after being asked by President Ellis to be the United States official American symbolic superhero. He was tasked with helping in combating the threat of A.I.M. and Rhodey stated that the reason for the name change was because focus groups indicated that War Machine was an aggressive name. Tony Stark was shown to scoff at the idea of the Iron Patriot name. The armor was stolen by Aldrich Killian's Extremis soldiers though Eric Savin posed as Iron Patriot in order to abduct President Ellis. Afterwards, Rhodes was shown as recovering Iron Patriot armor and used it to recover the President.
  • In Iron Man and Captain America: Heroes United, though not named in the animated movie Tony Stark did build a suit of Iron Man Armor for Steve Rogers that resembled the Iron Patriot suit.
