Wendy Marvell

Wendy Marvell is a female character who features in Fairy Tail.

Biography

Wendy Marvell (ウェンディ・マーベル Wendi Māberu) was a female human born in the Earthlands around 400 years ago. She lived during a time when Dragons had preyed on humanity and to combat the large beasts there was the rise of Dragon Slayers that utilised the creatures magic against them. However, this saw one of the Dragon Slayers transform into one of the creatures where he became the Black Dragon Acnologia that started killing the rest of the Dragons and terrorised the lands. Around this time, Wendy was one of many orphans where she along with four others were chosen to be Dragon Slayers by Dragons that cared for them. The five were to be part of a plot to defeat Acnologia and the Dragons bonded their souls to their charges who were dispatched 400 years into the future via the Eclipse Gate in a time when ethernano was rich in the world. They five were then to be trained to adulthood and work together to defeat Acnologia who had survived in hibernation over the centuries. However, upon arriving into the modern age, an incident occurred that separated the Dragon Slayers from one another where they each were raised independently and they came to forget their origins. Wendy was among their number where she came to make a life for herself in the world.

Personality and attributes

Her skill in sky magic led to her being known by the epithet of the Sky Sorceress (天空の巫女 Tenkū no Miko).

Wendy's closest friend was her Exceed Companion Carla who had always accompanied her during her life.

Powers and abilities

As a magic user, she came to be trained in the art of Sky Dragon Slayer Magic (天の滅竜魔法 Ten no Metsuryū Mahō) that allowed her to wield the power of a sky dragon.

One of her most powerful attacks was Sky Dragon's Roar (天龍の咆哮 Tenryū no Hōkō) that was her variation of the Dragon's Roar that was based on wind magic where she could unleash a hurricane-like blast at her targets.

She later came to be able to enter into the Dragon Force (ドラゴンフォース Doragon Fōsu) state by consuming air with high concentration of Ethernano with this being the final most powerful form capable of being achieved by a Dragon Slayer. This power was said to be comparable to that of a real Dragon with Wendy gaining pink hair that grew longer and curved upwards whilst her back sprouted white scales similar to Grandeeney with similar ones on her hands as well as her feet. She later cam to be talented enough to be able to enter the Dragon Force state at will thus increasing her fighting potential.
