Biography
Kagetane Hiruko (Japanese: 蛭子影胤, ひるこ かげたね, Hepburn: Hiruko Kagetane) was a Japanese male who around ten years ago joined the Japanese Self-Defense Force (JSDF) where he killed everyone at a hospital before running away. He had a daughter named Kohina Hiruko who was born as one of the Cursed Children affording her superhuman abilities. With her by his side, Kohina began to operate as her father's Initiator.
In search for the Gastrea infection, he journeyed to a residence where he killed two of the inhabitants and destroyed their features when he was approached by Rentaro Satomi. During their conversation, Hiruko told the other that he had arrived too late and that he was also responsible for killing the policemen behind him. This led to a fight between Satomi and Hiruko though the latter redirected his foes power back at him and overpowered him.
Overview
Personality and attributes
In appearance, Kagetane was a lean pale skinned man with slick black grey hair that reached the back of his neck and average sized ears. His most distinctive feature was the white mask he always wore that prevented anyone from seeing his true face. The mask allowed his eyes to be seen and portions of his jawline exposed. He typically cover white gloves that covered his hands and wore a magician's hat on the top of his head.
He was shown as being killing two men and destroyed their features whilst freely admitting the crime and not showing any remorse for his actions.
Hiruko noted that people did not want to see his face not because he was disfigured but for other reasons and did not elaborate.
When injured, it was shown that he even laughed at his own pain and had said that it showed him that he was still alive.
He was shown to be entirely dismissive of Seitenshi and called her a useless ruler.
Powers and abilities
During the Great Gastrea War, he came to take part in the New Human Creation Plan (新人類創造計画 Shin Jinrui Sōzō keikaku) that was responsible for transforming him into a Mechanical Soldier (機械化兵士, キカイカ ヘイシ, Kikai-Ka Heishi). This saw a large amount of his body being replaced with Varanium (バラニウム Baraniumu) machines that allowed him superhuman abilities.
His cybernetic nature meant that he was highly durable and resilient to harm. In one instance, he survived a kick to the neck that twisted his head around with no resistance and simply rotated it back in place whilst making no sound of pain despite the injury.
Through his cybernetics, he was able to emit a transparent shield that could block off any and all attacks coming from any direction. The shield could also return attacks and projectiles such as bullets from the original opposing side and expand to protect more than one person at a time.
He had two straps by his thighs that was where he kept his two guns that were custom Beretta named Spanking Sodomy (スパンキング・ソドミー Supankingu Sodomī) and Psychedelic Gospel (サイケデリック・ゴスペル Saikederikku Gosuperu).
As a Promoter (プロモーター Puromōtā), he had a talent for analysing and supervising battle situations.
