History

The Tusken Raiders were a species of humanoids that were native to the planet Tatooine located in the Outer Rim in the galaxy far, far away.

The Mandalorians bounty hunter Din Djarin comes across a small group of Raiders whilst travelling through their land in search of a bounty. At first, they were hostile until he communicated with them via sign language where he successfully bartered a pair of binoculars in exchange for safe passage.

Overview

Typically, they wore abundant clothing to protect themselves from Tatooine’s twin suns.

They followed a nomadic existence in some of Tatooine’s most desolate regions.

The Tusken Raiders feared little on their world and often made sudden raids on local settlers. One of the few creatures that they were afraid of were the large Krayt Dragons native to Tatooine.

A traditional weapon unique to the Sand People was the Gaderffii Stick or Gaffi Stick that was a spiked pole arms each of which was unique as they were built with scrounged materials but were useful as mace-like clubs and for stabbing.

Another item in their arsenal were the Tusken Ballista's that that were primitive though effective weapons which fired heavy bolts at a distant target. It was used to defend against more serious threats that targeted the tribes such as Krayt Dragons.
