Biography

Origin

Walker battling the Earl and Noah clan.

Allen Walker (Japanese: アレン・ウォーカー, Hepburn: Aren Wōkā) was originally an unnamed male human child who had been abandoned by his parents due to what was perceived to be a deformity in his left arm. Unknown to anyone, this was actually his Innocence that had bonded to him but was not fully activated. He had no memories of his parents beyond being abandoned by them where he came to become a part of the traveling Garvey Circus. They had wanted the boy for his deformity so that it could be used in the freak-show though the child refused to become a freak and instead he did odd jobs for the circus to survive. He came to be called Red Arm by the people at the circus where he as largely shunned and ignored by the troupe. The only exception to this was the clown Cosmiov who instead beat the boy and blamed him for his mistakes. Later on, the circus were joined by a new clown named Mana Walker who quickly gained in popularity over Cosimov who took out his anger on 'Red Arm'.

Whilst training under Master Cross, he had to hone his skills in whatever way to pay his debts and earn a living for himself. A result of this time meant he learnt to play card games and was able to cheat in such games.

Exorcist

During his travel, he wentto London with Timcanpy, who got eaten by a stray cat. Chasing after the cat, Allen wanders into a "cursed" church where he is handcuffed by a police woman named Moore. Soon after, Moore's colleague Charles is attacked and killed by an Akuma, leaving Moore unconscious. After taking her to the local police station, Allen is interrogated by the Britannic Police Inspector under suspicion of killing Charles. But with no concrete evidence, they are forced to let Allen go free. As the investigation continues, Allen is entrusted to Moore and is taken to her house. This is where Allen discovers that Moore's brother-in-law, Marc, is the Akuma that killed Charles. In truth, the Marc they see before them is actually Moore's late sister, Claire, who has take over Marc's body after being turned into an Akuma. Allen then explains to Moor the existence of Akuma and the Millennium Earl who creates them. When a person calls out to the soul of a dead loved one, the Millennium Earl can entrap that soul and bind it to his will. He will then force the soul to kill and take over that person's body and turn them into an Akuma. The only way to free the soul of Akuma is by liberating them with the Innocence. After a brief fight, Allen is able to destroy the Akuma and free Claire's soul from the Millennium Earl. He bids Moore farewell and continues his way towards the Order's HQ.

While travelling through a town, Allen hears someone screaming about Akuma and quickly rushes towards them. However, it turns out it was only a prank played by a local boy, Jan. But upon closer inspection, Allen's left eye is able to detect an Akuma and he quickly destroys it before it can harm Jan. After being asked about how he knows about Akuma, Jan reveals himself to be the son of a scientist who works for the Vatican. Allen then warns him not to poke into things like the Akuma and the Millennium Earl. Angry, Jan stuns Allen with an onion bomb that he created and runs back home. After coming back to his senses, Allen decides to find the boy again to try to convince him to stop pursuing the Millennium Earl. Upon arriving at Jan's house, Jan and his friend Leo manage to escape from Allen and head towards the cemetery. Allen quickly follows them after seeing that Leo is an Akuma. When Allen arrives, he finds the Millennium Earl with the boys, telling Jan that his friend Leo has been turned into an Akuma. Allen quickly rushes towards Leo in attempt to destroy the Akuma. But not wanting Allen to destroy his friend, Jan gets in his way. Leo, now an Akuma, quickly opens fire upon Jan, who is in shock. Allen manage to protect Jan but had to take the hit himself. As Allen's skin begins to crumble under the Akuma's weapon, the Earl once again mocks Jan for being a weakling and how Allen has wasted his life to protect someone as useless as Jan. The Earl then explains that the ugliness of the Akuma is not his doing but the image that reflects the human heart. After dispelling the curse from his body with his Innocence, Allen proclaims that he can see the soul of Akuma. That's when the Earl realizes that he's met Allen before and Allen is the boy who turned his father into an Akuma. Allen, after reminding the Earl of his deed, engages in battle with the Akuma the Earl has summoned. Jan, finally accepting the fact that Leo could not be saved, pleads for Allen to destroy Leo. With that, the Earl retreats, and Allen deactivates his Anti-Akuma weapon and falls onto ground. Jan, who is in despair of Leo's death and the events that has unfolded, finds comfort in Allen's arms. After healing up, Allen bids Jan farewell and continued on his way to the Order's HQ.

He then arrived at the Order's headquarters where initially the Gatekeeper mistook him for being an accomplice of the Millennium Earl due to the Pentacle Mark on his left eye. This resulted in Yu Kanda battling Walker in an effort to what he perceived to be an enemy. This was until Allen noted that a letter of recommendation had been sent to Komui Lee by General Cross with this clearing the misunderstanding. Allen then was invited by Lenalee Lee into the Order's headquarters and offered to take his anti-Akuma weapon to be fixed after it was damaged by Kanda. During an examination of his Innocence, Komui noted that it was a parasite type with him helping to repair it in a process that was painful to Walker. Komui Lee was then taken to meet Hevlaska where initially he mistook her for a monster but she was a guardian of the Black Order's Cube of Innocence that contained the warning about the Millennium Earl.

This seemingly saw Suman turned back to normal where he returned to a somewhat human form with Allen happy that he had saved his fellow exorcist. However, he came to find his body lifeless as his soul was gone with Walker intending to take it back to home. It was then that a swarm of dark butterflies had arrived where they consumed his body with Walker then being confronted by one of the Noah named Tyki Mikk. From Suman's memories, Allen knew that this was the person responsible for Suman becoming a Fallen One. Despite Allen attempting to fight back, he was too exhausted and unable to fight the powerful Noah who ripped off Walker's arm. Tyki came to learn that his target was Allen Walker and proceeded to destroy his Innocence as well as pulled out his heart. Allen had Timcanpy take Suman's Innocence away to safety whilst he was left for dead. Unknown to anyone, his Innocence did not dissipate after it was shattered but instead formed a fog around his body where it repaired his heart. This allowed him to survive long enough to be discovered by a warrior named For from the Asia Branch. She took him back to her headquarters where he managed to recover and regain consciousness. Whilst at the Asia Branch, he was introduced to the Black Order personnel at the site where Allen was in despair at the thought of not being able to save others from the Akuma. Seeing his spirit to continue fighting, the head of the branch decided to help him become an exorcist once again. Walker was then informed that his Innocence had not been destroyed but was reduced to particles that he needed to summon back again. Thus, with For, he underwent training to help him call forth his Innocence.

Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, Allen Walker was a male human teenager of average height with pale skin alongside a lean, muscular physique that over the course of time had become heavily marred with scars. One of his distinctive features was his medium-length gray/white hair that that came to grown to shoulder-length whilst also having silver/gray coloured eyes eyes.

Allen was shown to be a kind, generous, and very polite young man. He refused to accept any gifts from people that he felt he had not earned.

Whilst his cursed eye was a great tool, he did rely on it greatly in order to distinguish Akuma from humans. As such, after his eye was injured the first time he panicked when he was in a crowd as he did not know which were genuine humans and which were Akuma. This nearly resulted in his death when an Akuma approached him in its human form with him being saved by Lavi. Initially, he was opposed to the idea of treating everyone as a potential Akuma. However, he then remembered the words of his master namely the reason they wore the uniform of an exorcist. This meant that they openly showed themselves as agents of the Black Order to draw Akuma to them. Thus, anyone that approached them directly was an enemy. Allen stated that he never understood this lesson of his master until he could not use his cursed eye.

Initially, Allen was very loyal to the Black Order due them sharing the same goals which was to defeat the Millennium Earl and save the world from destruction. However, he came to learn of the order's unspeakable experiments leading to his loyalty towards them becoming strained as he realized that their leaders were no different from the Earl.

A close father figure to him was Mana Walker who had helped raise Allen.

One of his closest companions was Timcanpy (ティムキャンピー, Timukyanpī) who was a small yellow skinned golem that resembled a sphere with a pair of wings allowing him to fly.

Powers and abilities

He never lost in a card game and was able to easily win against other poker players as well as cheat in such games.

Walkers left eye was similarly cursed and typically appeared normal. However, when an Akuma was present whereupon it went dark with a symbol that resembled a targeting reticule. Once active, Allen gained the ability to see Akuma that were hiding in human form. As such, it proved a valuable tool as normally exorcists were unable to tell the difference between a disguised Akuma and a human. If injured, the was shown to be able to heal quickly and recover from wounds faster than an ordinary human. After the incident at Krory's castle, it was said that his eye was starting to evolve and change.

As an exorcist, his greatest weapon was his Anti-Akuma weapon that manifested on his left arm called Cross (十字架クロス, Kurosu?, lit. Cross Stand). This was Innocence that was a parasite type that when activated took the form of a large extendable silver clawed hand. Its large form could shield either Allen or others from attack or could be extended to attack foes. A further evolution of the arm called Cross β (beta) was its ability to morph into a cannon that fired numerous projectiles for long distance fire.

In one case, his Innocence ripped from his arm and seemingly destroyed but instead it remained in particle form with it helping to repair fatal injuries to his body.

At some point in his life, he came to be implanted with the essence of the 14th Noah named Nea D. Campbell who was a traitor to his kind that tried to murder his kin. This meant that Allen had a degree of control over the original Noah's Ark and had the power to create or destroy gates from it at will. To do so, he used magic incantations that came to his mind from the fourteenth memory when he wishes to control the ark.
