- Snapper Carr was created by Gardner Fox and Mike Sekowsky where he made his first appearance in The Brave and the Bold v1 #28 (February–March, 1960).
Alternate Versions
- In Young Justice v3 #8 (2019), an alternate version of Snapper Carr appeared in the Earth-3 reality in the Multiverse. Snapper Carr was a gang leader operating in Gotham City on the crime-ridden world of Earth 3.

- In Justice League, Snapper Carr appeared in the setting of the DC Animated Universe animated television series where he was voiced by actor Jason Marsden. As an on-site reporter for a Metropolis news station, Snapper Carr was present at many momentous events, such as the Imperium invasion, the perceived death of Superman, and the Justice League's press conference after the Cadmus crisis. Additionally, a character similar to him called Ray Thompson appeared in the episode "Legends" where he was voiced by actor Neil Patrick Harris. He was shown as the sidekick of the Justice Guild of America in another dimension, who gained reality-warping powers from radiation after a nuclear war destroyed most of his Earth. He used these powers to recreate the Earth as it was before the war, but was ultimately defeated by the Justice League.
- In Young Justice, Snapper Carr had a recurring appearance in the animated series where he was voiced by Greg Weisman. Lucas Carr was a teacher at, and later principal of, Happy Harbor High School. In his youth, he was familiar with Mount Justice and the Justice League and remains an ally of the League and the Team. In season 4, he was shown to had married Bethany Lee and adopted Harper Row along with her brother Cullen. He also officiated Superboy and Miss Martian's wedding in the series finale.
- In Supergirl, Snapper Carr appeared in the setting of the live-action television series set in the Arrowverse where he was portrayed by actor Ian Gomez. He appears as the new editor-in-chief at CatCo Magazine, and clashes with Kara Danvers over her reporting skills.
