Sorcerer-King

The term sorcerer-king is used in Dark Sun refer to the Category:Champions of Rajaat after they rebelled against Rajaat and founded or captured cities to rule. The sorcerer-kings have ruled their cities for 2,000 years, though many died when Tithian freed Rajaat from The Hollow. Currently, the only remaining sorcerer-kings are Hamanu of Urik, Oronis of Kurn, Nibenay of Nibenay, Lalali-Puy of Gulg and Daskinor of Eldaarich. In addition, Dregoth of Guistenal is undead and active.
The sorcerer-kings are able to channel energy from the elemental planes to their templars, a combination priesthood and police service.
