Biography
Lorina Dodson
As a child, she raised in the lap of luxury where she was protected by nannies, teachers and tutors that kept her away from rowdy offspring of the lower classes whilst she was molded into a proper young lady. Books came to be her only escape from this existence where she became fixated on the story of Alice in Wonderland. (Marvel Team-Up v1 #131)
Years ago, she was married off to a rich old man where she found him to be boring and lacked any excitement that she got from her books. He later came to die and Lorina came to inherit the fortune allowing her to transform herself into something like a character from Lewis Carrol's work. (Marvel Team-Up v1 #131)
For weeks, her White Rabbit Gang had gone on a rampage in the city where they had hit every fast-food chain leading to her quickly becoming the most criminal city. Her biggest problem was that when she tried to rob Kwikkee Burger, Eugene Patilio was in the restaurant. You don't know who Eugene is? He's none other than the Fabulous Frog-Man! While he dodged the bullets from the White Rabbit Gang, the White Rabbit herself abandoned her men, leaving them to handle Frog-Man. Of course, Frog-Man eventually handled himself (check his profile if you don't understand why), and he only survived because Spider-Man intervened. After that, she went to her next target with a renewed Gang: A book fair. On her way, she was spotted by Spidey and Frog-Man, and after a funny battle, her jet-boots failed and she crashed to her first defeat. (Marvel Team-Up v1 #131)
A few years later, she returned with a different plan: She wanted to execute revenge on Frog-Man. With that, she contacted Speed Demon, Yellow Claw and the Walrus, the other guys who were sort of defeated by Frog-Man. The first two scoffed at her proposal, only the dumb-as-a-rock Walrus agreed. They started spreading chaos and mayhem in Brooklyn which was surprisingly in front of Kwikkee Burger to attract Frog-Man, but they attracted one frog too many, because Eugene's dad, the original Leapfrog, also showed up and he controlled the suit much better than his son. Of course, Spidey also appeared, and once again Frog-Man scored a clumsy victory, by falling on the Rabbit's back when jumping out of control. (Spectacular Spider-Man v1 #185) She and her gang were later robbing a bank when the gargantuan Grizzly and his partner, Gibbon the monkey boy, showed up to stop her. They were captured, and three issues later she attempted to ransom the duo demanding 1 billion dollars for their lives, or she'd feed them to her genetically altered killer bunnies. The Mayor thought that 1 billion was too much, and made a counter-offer of $2.50 which she rejected it and took the Flying Hare to bomb the city. She raised the ransom request to 5 billion and returned to her hideout whilst a stealthy Bombastic Bag-Man leading to her climbing aboard the Hare. (Spectacular Spider-Man v1 #253) Not long after, the pair faced Frog-Man with his dad Leapfrog joining in on the fight. Spider-Man also appeared, out on patrol and spotting action, and the three took down the two, despite a somewhat clumsy victory with Patilio falling on the Rabbit's back. The White Rabbit later resurfaced with two new accomplices, the Mad Hatter and the Dormouse, though the two were later found to be actors posing as her accomplices, as no real super villains would work with her. White Rabbit was present at the auction of the Venom symbiote. (Marvel Knights Spider-Man v1 #6) She also seemed to had been present at the auction of the Scorpion suit. (Marvel Knights Spider-Man v1 #12) Later on, she was involved in yet another bank robbery by White Rabbit that was interrupted by the Grizzly but she escaped and the police instead arrested Grizzly by mistake. Continuing her misfortunes as a criminal, Lorina was stopped by Grizzly and his partner the Gibbon during an attempted bank heist. Capturing the two, she tried to ransom them to the city for one billion dollars. The mayor made what he considered a fair counter-offered for the pair: $2.50. Incensed by the rejection, she took to bombing the city and raised her request to five billion. Her plans were foiled when Spider-Man, as Bag-Man, distracted her while the the Gibbon and Grizzly escaped from the pit in which she had placed them. Not wanting to be seen as sexist, the fleeing Grizzly felt obligated to knock out the White Rabbit. (Underworld v1 #4)
At some point White Rabbit became Arcade's partner in crime and life. With a Kraven robot they tricked some rich adrenalin-junkies into paying them a lot of money for hunting Wolverine and Black Cat on Murder Island. Together they brought Wolverine and Black Cat to Murder Island where the Kraven robot and the hunters already waited. Through Arcade's cameras the evil couple was able to observe the situation all the time. (Claws v1 #1) White Rabbit and Arcade watched the hunt until Black Cat shot the Kraven robot and the hunters fled. Arcade wanted to stay to finish the game when Wolverine realized that he was behind it, but White Rabbit suggested to leave with the hunters' money and asked Arcade if the hunt was more important to him than she was. Arcade did the right thing and went with her and the money, but not before he detonated the boat that was supposed to get Wolverine and Black Cat off the island. (Claws v1 #2) Back in Arcade's apartment in Manhattan White Rabbit tried on a new outfit. Arcade was mean to her when she asked him if it made her look fat, but he tried to explain to her why any answer he could give was wrong. She didn't seem to understand him, but they still left together to celebrate the death of Black Cat and Wolverine at the opera. They entered the elevator, it rumbled and suddenly they heard Wolverine's voice who told them that they were going for a ride (he pulled the elevator with a helicopter out of the building). First they tried to get out of the elevator, but White Rabbit and Arcade soon gave up and played cards while Wolverine and Black Cat told them how they got off the island. The elevator's voyage ended in the Savage Land where the villains were released. Black Cat took White Rabbit's coat and then left with Wolverine, who didn't tell the villains where they were. White Rabbit was surprised that Wolverine didn't kill them and thought that the goat was cute that was left with them. A Tyrannosaurus appeared and Arcade knew that they were in the Savage Land. He called White Rabbit stupid when she thought they were in Universal Studio's theme park and she got angry. She saved the goat while Arcade ran away. (Claws v1 #3)
White Rabbit was next seen operating in Los Angeles, where she widened her reach to drug dealing to the stars thus operating as a drug dealer to the rich and famous. One of her clients was Bobby Carr who at the time was the boyfriend of Mary Jane Watson. Carr was also an actor and was using Mutant Growth Hormone to bulk up for a movie role. The Rabbit turned on her client when the U.S. Department of Justice wanted him to inform them who serving as his dealer. White Rabbit and her gang attacked Carr and MJ at a trendy Los Angeles club, gassing the party goers. Mary Jane rescued Carr and took out White Rabbit at the club, when the police arrived and took the White Rabbit into custody. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #605)
White Rabbit alongside Chance and Scorcher later attacked Peter Parker and Carlie Cooper at an abandoned lab that the Jackal is in at Empire State University. She ends up knocked down by Peter using the moves learned from Shang-Chi. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #669) Afterwards, she appeared at the Raft at the time when Hydro-Man, Scorpion, and Trapster looked to spring Doctor Octopus from the prison. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #699)
Afterwards, White Rabbit encountered the new Spider-Man, and she gave up without a fight based on his reputation alone. (Superior Spider-Man v1 #4)
She later formed a gang called the Menagerie consisting of animal-themed supervillains including the Hippo and Panda-Mania. The three were conducting a money heist at an auction by going on a rampage stealing expensive eggs and were making their getaway when they were defeated and apprehended by Spider-Man. (Amazing Spider-Man v3 #1) White Rabbit and the rest of the Menagerie later reunite to commit a diamond heist, which led to another defeat at Spider-Man's hands. (Amazing Spider-Man Annual v3 #1)
She next hired Howard the Duck to procure Pym Particles for her, but the plan was foiled by Ant-Man. (Howard the Duck v5 #4) Lorina also participated in a gang war where she battled the Spot in the Third Precinct. (Amazing Spider-Man v3 #20.1)
White Rabbit was one of a number of animal-themed people that were captured by Taskmaster and Black Ant for Kraven's Great Hunt. (Amazing Spider-Man v5 #16)
The group of super-villains, under Vulture's leadership, soon ambushed the drones and revealed that damaging them injured the user, which Kraven had planned for all along. (Amazing Spider-Man v5 #20) After the drones had perished, White Rabbit and several others found Black Ant and wanted to kill him for revenge. Taskmaster stopped the villains and shot at them as they scattered. (Amazing Spider-Man v5 #22)
She came to be a recruit into the all-female Sinister Syndicate headed by the Beetle. (Amazing Spider-Man v5 #26) Together, they went after Boomerang for revenge.[22] After Beetle arranged behind her partners' back to hand him over to the Kingpin. (Amazing Spider-Man v5 #27) The entirety of the Syndicate felt compelled to help him evade arrest when he disclosed that he was trying to keep the pieces of the Lifeline Tablet out of Fisk's hands. The Syndicate were subsequently apprehended, but Beetle broke them out of police custody. (Amazing Spider-Man v5 #28) Around this time, White Rabbit visited Leonard Elkhart in prison at his cell's window since she had kept an eye on him and learned of his terminal cancer diagnosis, and offered her condolences. Their reunion was quickly interrupted by Carnage, who murdered Elkhart to retrieve the symbiote codex in his body. He spared White Rabbit, only telling her to stay out of his way. Powers and abilities
Lorina Dodson was born a normal human being with no special talents where she was from an upper-class rich family. She was later married to an older wealthy man who died and she came to inherit his fortune making her incredibly wealthy. (Marvel Team-Up v1 #131)
Her signature weapon was an umbrella that had a range of gadgets within it. This included a carrot-toped razor-topped end that she could fire at a target. She could also fire out a gas from the end which could be used to blind an opponent. Alternatively, she could fire off a flare from it that could blind everyone in the region temporarily allowing her to make her escape. Offensively, the White Rabbit had a mini-cannon within it allowing her to fire at her targets. (Marvel Team-Up v1 #131)
Other gadgets she used included custom-built boots where she paid a fortune for them as they allowed her to fly and make her getaway. (Marvel Team-Up v1 #131)
Dodson had a team of hired guns that formed part of her White Rabbit Gang. (Marvel Team-Up v1 #131)
At one point, she came to form a gang of animal-themed supervillains called the Menagerie. (Amazing Spider-Man v3 #1) She later made a club named after her team with it also being called the Menagerie. (Jessica Jones v2 #2)
