Time Trapper
The Time Trapper was a being who existed at the End of Time, originally Rokk Krinn (Cosmic Boy) of the Legion of Super-Heroes. After studying for untold centuries in the great Library of Time, and learning all he could about the time stream and ways to manipulate it, he also learned of the impending Zero Hour crisis. He resolved to save his former teammates, and became the Time Trapper.
As the Trapper, he set up various defenses and attempts at saving the Legion, such as the Iron Curtain of Time, and creating the SW6 Legionnaires. However, he had not banked on the instability of time created by the Crisis on Infinite Earths, and every attempt was subverted, distorted, or simply failed. This eventually drove him mad, and he alternated between even more grandiose schemes to save the Legion, and even attempting to destroy them.
He was responsible, in the post-Crisis universe, for creating the Pocket Universe. He was apparently destroyed by the wizardess Glorith, but he (or a variant of him) survived in the remains of the Pocket Universe, until Glorith tracked him down and absorbed his remaining power and knowledge. She was temporarily the Time Trapper herself, but somehow, she was removed from that role.
By Zero Hour's occurrence, the Time Trapper was back, and was attacked by the being known as Extant. He survived, but his sanity was restored. Convening with his past self, the two decided to stabilize their world by merging the SW6 Legion with their original counterparts. This managed to ensure the recreation of the Legion, in a new form, after the universe was remade. The Time Trapper was satisfied with victory, but his peace was short-lived, as he was slain by Extant's master, Parallax.

Post-Zero Hour
Another Time Trapper existed after Zero Hour, but it is not Rokk Krinn- whoever it is, they have long, purple hair.

- In JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time, the Time Trapper was featured as a villain where he was voiced by Corey Burton. He was entrapped within the Eternity Glass by the 31st century when he was freed from imprisonment by Lex Luthor who had escaped from frozen ice. Upon taking the Eternity Glass, the Time Trapper was forced to serve Lex Luthor and use his powers to take him back to his own time to fight the Justice League. With his power, the Legion of Doom travelled back in time to prevent the rise of Superman by going back to Kansas and sending his pod back into space instead of being adopted by the Kents. As a result, the Time Trapper banished Superman from the new timeline and as a result the Justice League was erased as well. Due to the actions of Dawnstar and Karate Kid, a paradox was created whereby Luthor was never frozen in ice and remained in the modern age. This created a change in the timeline where he never emerged in the future and discovered the Eternity Glass. As a result, the Time Trapper banished the future version of Luthor and was freed from his control as he was outside of time itself. Thus, the Time Trapper took the Eternity Glass to remake the world in his own dark image where he instigated a massive rift in time over modern Earth. He was opposed by Dawnstar, Karate Kid and the Justice League. Karate Kid managed to determine that the Time Trapper was a being of dark matter and Dawnstar used her power to blind him allowing the League to capture the Eternity Glass where they imprisoned the villain inside of it once more.
