Aristotle Kristatos
Aristotle "Aris" Kristatos was a Greek businessman who owned a casino, and was the arch-rival of smuggler Milos Columbo. Ostensibly a friend to the intelligence community, especialy MI6, Kristatos was in reality a black marketer who used his undersea salvage operation to retrieve the ATAC from the sunken wreck of the St. Georges. He used Soviet agent Erich Kriegler as a middleman in his deal with General Gogol to give him the ATAC.
When the husband and wife scientist team of Timothy and Iona Havelock got close to discovering the St. Georges, Kristatos hired Emile Locque to have them killed, and framed Columbo for it. Upon meeting with James Bond, he even tried to convince the British agent to kill Columbo. However Columbo was able to tell Bond the truth, and together with a vengeful Melina Havelock and several of Columbo's men they stormed Kristatos' stronghold prior to the scheduled meeting with General Gogol.
After wounding Columbo, Kristatos left Bond fighting Kriegler and fled to the helipad with the ATAC to meet the arriving Gogol. He was intercepted by Bond and Melina, and disarmed. Melina prepared to kill him, however Bond stopped her, saying that killing Kristatos wouldn't bring her parents back. As they talked, they didn't notice Kristatos pulling a knife out of his boot. Before he could attack them, however, the injured Columbo reappeared and flung his own knife, hitting Kristatos in the back and killing him instantly.
