Biography
Beerus (Japanese: ビルス, Hepburn: Birusu) was a male felinoid being from Universe 7 who was one of the feared Gods of Destruction with him having a twin brother named Champa who headed Universe 6. At some point, he was assigned an attendant named Whis who became his tutor and someone as the strongest person he had ever fought. He was placed in charge of Universe 7 where he was tasked with its oversight. Around 75 million years ago, he had a meeting with his universe's Supreme Kai where an argument erupted over a trifling situation that resulted in the short-tempered Beerus sealing his counterpart within the Z Sword. Another time, he visited the world of King Kai where they placed an elaborate game of hide-and-seek where Beerus lost and in his anger he destroyed the planet. The remains were then fashioned into a planetoid of a much smaller size by King Kai with this being a reminder to him not to anger the God of Destruction. Long ago, he came to Planet Earth when it was inhabited by the Dinosaurs where the giant reptiles annoyed him causing him to wipe them from the surface of the world.
During his life, he was known to had known Frieza who came to fear the God of Destruction. He once arrived on Planet Vegeta where he forced King Vegeta to serve him food and used the monarch as a foot stool with a young Prince Vegeta witnessing the act. During this time, he found the Saiyans to be an arrogant race of upstarts and had planned their destruction but instead left it to Lord Freiza to accomplish the act.
During a 39-year sleep, Beerus awoke early with his alarm clocks waking him during this time. This was because he had heard of a prophecy from his seer that spoke of a possible challenge by a figure who had attained the power of a Super Saiyan God. He dreamed of this moment which was the reason for his eventual early awakening. After recalling this reason, he consulted with Whis to find the state of affairs in the universe where he was surprised to find that Frieza had been killed.
Overview
Personality and attributes
In terms of appearance, Beerus resemble a humanoid sphynx cat-like humanoid with purple skin and a tail. Due to his position, he was also known as Beerus the Destroyer.
Old Kai had said that the inevitability of his existence did not give meaning to his actions as Beerus simply acted only on his own whim with him being described as being nothing but bottled chaos.
Beerus had said that nobody who trumpeted justice was ever righteous themselves.
He was shown as being a temperamental being who was used to getting his way due to his extreme power. This went to the point that he threatened to destroy worlds if they annoyed him or did not acquiesce to his wishes.
It was his duty to destroy worlds with him stating that destruction was required before creation could occur in the cosmos.
Beerus was shown to have a fondness for food and delighted in tasty meals.
Powers and abilities
It was noted that he had an incredibly long lifespan with him having lived for countless thousands of years. As a God of Destruction, Beerus was incredibly powerful with him stated to be the strongest being in the universe. Through ki manipulation, he could achieve a variety of feats including flight and firing blasts of energy. In fact, his power was so great that he could generate ki blasts which could destroy entire planets. Even a simple sneeze could roduce a powerful energy blast capable of involuntarily destroying the two suns of Beerus' planet.

- Beerus Ball (ビルス玉 Birusu Dama) : a Sphere of Destruction (破壊玉 Hakai Dama) whereby Beerus could generate powerful fiery spheres of energy.
- Hakai (破壊, "Destruction") : the strongest technique known to him whereby he could completely destroy all objects and entities within the universe. Upon use, its effects were instantaneous as it destroyed the body and even souls of mortals with even low-tier gods affected by its power.
As a God of Destruction, his life was linked to that of the Supreme Kai of his universe meaning that if one died then the other would perish as well. Such a system was designed to prevent an imbalance between the natural forces of creation and destruction.
