Binary-Bonding

Binary-bonding is a process, developed on Nebulos, by which a Transformer's components or weapons are integrated with an organic being, combining their abilities together for enhanced capabilities. Binary-bonding created the Headmasters and the Targetmasters.

U.S. Animated

Binary-bonding involved placing the humanoids in exo-suits that transformed into the Transformers' heads or weapons, although some cybernetics were involved in at least the case of Daniel Witwicky.

Marvel U.S., Marvel U.K.

Binary-bonding appeared to turn the humanoids into transforming cyborgs. Another application of binary-bonding technology created the Powermasters.
