Television

Doughboy in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
  • In Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, the villain makes an appearance as the creation of Arnim Zola where he was voiced by Grant Moninger. He and others like him were products of Zola's experiments that guarded his laboratory in the modern age when Baron Zemo sought the scientist out. Initially, Doughboy attacks Zemo until he was called up by Zola whereupon Arnim provided the services of his creation to attack New York as a distraction for the Avengers whilst the Baron himself attacked Captain America. This Doughboy was later destroyed by the efforts of Wasp and Ant-Man when they discovered he was vulnerable to sonic attacks. At some point, a new Doughboy was created but this one was similarly destroyed in "Acts of Vengeance" by the Enchantress and he Executioner who were seeking to find the whereabouts of Baron Zemo.
  • In Avengers Assemble, Doughboys appear in the animated television series in the episodes "The Once and Future Kang" and "Dimension Z". They were shown to had been created by Arnim Zola and were his minions in a pocket dimension of Dimension Z where he enslaved the natives and made the land resemble 1930's America with Hydra under him in charge. Jane Foster accidently released one such Doughboy from that dimension in an effort to locate the displaced Avengers who were lost in space-time. This resulted in a giant Doughboy monster emerging onto New York Harbor that was defeated by the New Avengers who managed to contain the threat. Ant-Man was then dispatched to Dimension Z to rescue Captain America, Black Widow and Hawkeye where he found them as part of a resistance force that was attempting to topple Arnim Zola's rule of that dimension. Among his armies, he deployed numerous Doughboys against the superheroes with Ant-Man and Hawkeye managing to dissolve the creatures.
