Gilramos Libkath

Gilramos Libkath, a pompous and conniving Neimoidian, was the Trade Federation's contract-scribe during the years leading up to the Clone Wars. When the Trade Federation became a part of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Libkath accompanied Nute Gunray to Geonosis to sign a treaty with Count Dooku that would combine the droid armies of the Trade Federation with those of the Techno Union. When an army of Jedi Knights and Clonetroopers invaded Geonosis, Libkath advised Gunray that they needed to get their fleet back into space before the Republic army destroyed it. He then fled the planet with Gunray.

Expanded Universe

Two months after the Battle of Geonosis, Libkath left the Trade Federation and became a slaver on Tatooine (his role as the Trade Federation's senator was taken over by Alfre Mondad). He recruited or kidnapped small children and forced them to steal for him, keeping the children under control by using devices called the Eyes of the Master implanted in their hands that release toxins in the body if the children left the planet. He was referred to as the Master. In doing so he muscled into Jabba the Hutt's businesses. Libkath died in a confrontation with a young Boba Fett and the bounty hunter Durge after Jabba the Hutt put a price on Libkath's head. Libkath's miter-like crown was then given to Jabba by Boba.

Comments

Due to a mixup in the end credits for Star Wars Episode III: Attack of the Clones, Gilramos Libkath is often mistakenly assumed to be Lott Dod.
