Gobinda was Kamal Khan's fiercely loyal, and incredibly strong, servant. During James Bond's investigations into Khan's connection with General Orlov, Gobinda made numerous attempts to kill the British agent. When he and Khan were escaping from the Monsoon Palace aboard Khan's private airplane, a captive Octopussy aboard, Bond jumped onto the plane just as it took off. Gobinda noticed Bond sabotaging the plane's right engine, and at Khan's insistence went outside to stop him. He and Bond had a brief struggle on top of the airplane before Bond knocked him off, and Gobinda fell to his death.
