Biography

Jinpachi Mishima (Japanese: 三島 仁八, Hepburn: Mishima Jinpachi?) was a Japanese man who by adulthood came to be a talented martial artist and the founder of the Mishima Zaibatsu business conglomerate. At some point, he was noted to had a son named Heihachi Mishima. During World War II, Jinpachi then expanded the corporation into an industrial force, capitalising on military demand due to the ongoing war but after the war and following the direction the company had taken, Jinpachi began regretting his decision, even despising needless conflict. He instead vowed to devote the legacy of his family solely to martial arts. Later on, his son came to meet Kazumi Hachijō who was a fellow student at the Mishima dojo with the two getting married. This led to Jinpachi becoming a grandfather after the birth of Kazuya Mishima. It was said that Jinpachi greatly loved his grandson, Kazuya, raising and training the youngster. He was also an old friend of Wang Jinrei.

But Jinpachi's life changed for the worst when Heihachi staged a coup, seizing control of the company. Jinpachi attempted to retake the company from his son but lost and was imprisoned between the family temple, Hon-Maru, remaining there for forty years when during his time there, he ultimately starved to death. Sometime after he had died, a demonic entity possessed Jinpachi's body and brought him back to life, granting him powers as well and when the temple was attacked by Jack bots with the explosion destroying the temple, Jinpachi was freed. He then claimed the company, making arrangements for the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5, driven by the desire to end his corrupt family bloodline and to free himself from the demon possessing him.

Overview

Personality and attributes

In appearance, Jinpachi Mishima was a male human with a large and muscular physique making him an intimidating figure despite his age. He had hazel brown eyes and a bald scalp, while white hair hangs around the back of his head. He also has a short white beard and a mustache, which curves around the sides his face to form two points to the sides of his head, similar to the hairstyle of his son Heihachi. Such was his fighting skill that Jinpachi was once known as the "Ultimate Fighter.

Unlike most Mishimas, Jinpachi was a man of honor, harmony and wisdom, a friend of Wang Jinrei, and one of few to show compassion to his grandson Kazuya when the latter was a child.

At some point, he came to have a son named Heihachi Mishima who later got married with his wife being Kazumi Mishima. The couple had a child of their own with this leading to Jinpachi being a grandfather to Kazuya Mishima.

Powers and abilities

Originally, Jinpachi Mishima was noted for being an ordinary human being with no inherent powers or abilities. By adulthood though, he came to be a talented and skilled martial artist.

Along with the Mishima fighting style, Jinpachi also has some demonic powers. One of his demonic powers include generating powerful fireballs. In terms of sheer damage potential, Jinpachi has no equals. His attacks are powerful, long ranged and easy to perform, and his punishers are very powerful. While he suffers from poor mobility, he can use his Astral Projection to scoot forward or backward rapidly. This makes him a constant threat to his opponent, regardless of where he may be. Also, Jinpachi's flight ability is useful for applying pressure at long range, where an opponent did not expect an attack.

Jinpachi Mishima was noted to had been the founder of the Mishima Zaibatsu. It was noted that he actually had control of the Mishima Clan's budding military industry for a time, but decided to fully devote his family's legacy to martial arts instead, as he abhorred needless conflict.
