Biography
King Grayskull was an ancient monarch from the planet Eternia where he lived long ago and ruled from his kingdom centred around Castle Grayskull. At some point, he was married with his wife being a powerful sorceress who supported him as he led as a just ruler. Among the threats during this time were King Hiss and his Snake Men that made numerous attacks against his castle. During one his these attacks, he lost his Sword of Power that fell into a chasm thus depriving him of his weapon. Around this time, the powerful warlord Hordak had arisen where he led his Evil Horde in the conquest of Eternia. Hordak sought to eliminate all threats to him and first targeted the Snake Men where he defeated them after which he turned his gaze to Castle Grayskull. However, his forces were depleted in the clash that delayed any attack giving the people of Castle Grayskull time to prepare. King Grayskull believed that he was not strong enough to defeat this evil and sought out the Oracle for power to protect his people.
