Captain Silva La Forge was a Starfleet captain and mother of Geordi and Ariana La Forge. While commanding the U.S.S. Hera on a courier mission in 2370, she and her crew were lost.
Geordi believed he was speaking with his mother while using an experimental interface unit to help save the crew of the U.S.S. Raman, but was actually seeing an attempt by beings from Marijne VII to communicate.
