History
The Lost Numbers was the designation given by the Chronos Corporation to special Zoanoid's with these being individuals that failed their Optimization due to some unknown mutations. This resulted in these members possessing unique abilities but also left them sterile preventing more of their kind from being created as a result. Thus, they were deemed as useless to Chronos as their powers could not be replicated in newer Zoanoids. For this reason, they were subjected to countless torturous experiments that studied their unique biology. In some cases, Lost Numbers were deployed on commando assignments though this was rarely done so as their genetic makeup meant that their connection to a Zoalord was weak.
A group of Lost Number commandos was gathered by Richard Guyot who wanted their aid to hunt down the Guyver Unit embedded in Sho Fukomachi. This unit was assembled after the fall of the Japan branch's corporate headquarters where they were headed by the shapeshifter Aptom.
Overview
In appearance, the Lost Numbers were a group of Zoanoids of varying appearances and forms. Such individuals were formed to conduct very specific missions where their unique talents can be put to use or for extensive torturous experimentation.
Due to their situation, members of the Lost Units are looked down upon by either Zoanoids who consider them nothing more then trash and freaks of nature. The Zoalords themselves make little use of the Lost Unit for another reason; the telepathic link that links the Zoalord to the Zoanoid and controls them is extremely weak among members of the Lost Unit making such individuals dangerous as they could go rogue. Beyond this, the Lost Unit are considered expendable in combat and little is placed on their loss.
