Biography

Masaki Murakami (Japanese: ビリス / 村上征樹, Hepburn: Murakami Masaki) was a male human born in the modern age where he lived in Japan. From childhood, he was noted to been an emotional child who often cried and did not like sports. Whilst his college, one of his mentors was Professor Shinichiro Yamamura who was a noted scientist. By adulthood, he came to start a career as a reporter where he worked for a magazine. One day, he came to hear of unusual reports in Papua New Guinea where he along with a crew of reporters that included his friends went to investigate. Upon arriving at the site, they came to learn from the local villagers of stories of strange and dangerous monsters that resided in the jungles. Despite the warnings of the tribal elders, Murakami and his crew decided to investigate these stories where they came upon monstrous humanoids that were Zoanoids. The monsters killed Murakami's friends who were ripped apart limb from limb with Masaki being the only survivor. He came to learn that the site was actually a testing ground for the development of Zoanoids by the Chronos Corporation. Rather than kill Murakami, Chronos decided to take him to be part of their experiments leading to him being shipped to their hidden facility in Arizona. It was decided to use Masaki as a test subject for experiments in Zoalord development and came to be one of many prototypes for the battle form of Richard Guyot around five years ago. Whilst at the Arizona facility, he met his old college mentor Professor Yamamura who had been forced to be a researcher for Chronos. During this time, he came to learn about the truth of the world namely that mankind had been created as the basis of bio-weapons by the Creators and the existence of the Guyver Unit. In addition, he also learnt of Richard Guyot's own intention of equipping a Guyver Unit to his Zoalord form whereupon he intended to usurp and take over the world. Thus, Professor Yamamura was secretly plotting to rebel against the Chronos Corporation and came to enlist the aid of Murakami along with the other prototype Zoalord test subjects. At first, the other subjects were angry at the professor but he came to convince them to lend him their aid as they sought to assassinate Richard Guyot whilst he was in his optimization tank to become the last of the council of twelve Zoalords. During the rebellion, the prototype Zoalords power was strong enough for them to be a serious threat but they faced opposition from the other members of the council of twelve Zoalords. After a lengthy devastating battle, the prototypes were defeated with Murakami being the least injured among their number. Thus, it was decided that he needed to survive to continue their mission where the others sacrificed themselves so that Murakami could live. He managed to escape whilst the prototypes were disposed of with Masaki coming to the surface in the Arizona desert whereupon he made his way back to Japan. He intended to find the Guyver Units and equip one in order to wage a war against Chronos as per Professor Yamamura's plans. However, upon arriving, he came to learn that an incident occurred causing the Units to be separated with all being equipped to a host. Thus, Murakami went out to search for the users where he found a lead on Guyver I who was Sho Fukamachi. Masaki Murakami came at a time when Guyver I was under attack from a Hyperzoanoid named Panadyne where he used his modified gun to help wound the enemy allowing for Fukamachi to dispose of the danger.

When he first encountered Sho, it was during a fight with Aptom and his fellow Lost Numbers. Masaki lent his aid to the young Guyver, acting to distract Dyme from an attack on the boy, but inadvertently getting captured himself. With another person to protect, however, Sho found new resolve and was able to successfully fight off the Lost Numbers attacking him. After doing so, Masaki was quick to support him in his endeavour. Sho, having been shocked by the revelation that his friends - not just his father, as he had initially been lead to believe - had been the targets of Chronos' forces, was all but ready to give in to their demands for his surrender. Stepping in just as Sho was at his lowest, Masaki reassured him, explaining that Chronos was not just a threat to his family, but to every human being on Earth, a fact that Sho had come to realize some time ago, but which had been almost completely forgotten by the boy in his anguish over his missing friends and family. Taking Sho under his wing, Masaki told the boy about another Chronos base in Japan, one hidden deep underground and stretching for miles in several directions, Mt. Minakami. With the help of the young Guyver, Masaki was able to find a way to infiltrate the Mt. Minakami facility. However, that would come later; for the moment, Sho's focus was on rescuing his friends and his father. With Masaki's help, Sho was able to trace the mental signals from the third Guyver - who was, unknown to him at this point, Agito Makishima to Mt. Minakami itself.

Overview

Personality and attributes

He was noted for being 29 years old when he was serving as a freelance reporter. After being brainwashed by Chronos, he came to be give a new identity as Imakarum Mirabilis (イマカラム・ミラービリス).

Murakami was shown as possessing a cool and calm demeanour where it was shown that he had a strong sense of justice.

As Imakarum, he lacked any of his old personality traits where he only possessed a single-minded devotion to Archanfel.

Powers and abilities

Originally, Murakami was an ordinary human being who came to be a talented reporter. After his capture by Cronus, he was used as a test body for the creation of Richard Guyot's Zoalord form. Thus, he was transformed into one of the Proto-Zoalords (獣神将試作体プロトゾアロード) that resembled Guyot's own form. However, as he was a prototype, his form was not meant to last and he eventually burnt through his energy which meant he had a finite lifespan. When in his human form, he retained some of his Zoalord abilities such as greater strength and endurance along with the ability to use his telepathy to command Zoanoids. This power could be overwhelmed though by the thought-waves of a true Zoalord which could break Murakami's telepathic influence. He also had greater than human strength as he could wield a heavily modified handgun that fired powerful ammunition able to wound normal Zoanoids. The gun was said to be too heavy for an ordinary human to be capable of carrying or using. In times of need, he could trigger his Areoform whereby his transformed into his Zoalord battle form and gained access to its greater abilities. Due to being the test type for Guyot, he shared some of his abilities namely that they were derived from gravity-based powers. Murakami only had a limited amount of time to use his abilities as he burnt through his energy reserves quickly. This tended to dictate his fights as he had to finish a battle quickly before he reverted back to his human state. A further aspect of Murakami's Zoalord form was that his Zoacrystal vibrated on the same frequency as Richard Guyot's. His control over gravity allowed him to create a blade of gravitational energy from his hand that could slice through a target and shown to be more effective than a Guyver's high-frequency sword. For a range attack, he could fire off a series of micro-black holes called gravity bullets that were able to blast a target to pieces where they dissipated shortly after firing. He could also create a barrier to protect himself from attacks with people making contact with the barrier being immediately sliced to pieces.

After being taken by Archanfel, he came to be modified and turned into a full Zoalord by Chronos where he was given the Imakarum Mirabilis. In this state, he was brainwashed to serve Archanfel directly and served as his representative. It was shown that he gained the power of flight by manipulating gravity with this being a talent he did not possess in his old form.
