Mark (Proteus)
Mark was a friend of Paul's who masterminded and financed his heroin smuggling operation. Like Paul, he was a heroin addict. It was his fault Paul's yacht sank and blew up, stranding everyone in the middle of the Pacific, when he left a lit marijuana joint below decks. On the Brinkstone rig, he was the third member of the group of castaways to be taken by Charlie. Left by Alex to guard Linda, Christine and the injured Rachel, he fell asleep. While he was out, Charlie absorbed Rachel. Charlie then took Rachel's form when Mark woke up and proceeded to seduce him and then kill and absorb him. His mind became trapped inside of Charlie like everyone else, but he was set free when Alex killed the monster by burning it to death, granting Mark and the others the release of death.
