Martin Solo

Martin Solo was one of several American mob bosses whom Auric Goldfinger promised $1 million in gold bullion, to participate in the early phases of Operation Grandslam. Solo had Goldfinger's industrial laser shipped to the US from Switzerland in a box labeled "machine parts." He refused to participate any further in the deal, and so he was killed by Oddjob, who shot him and then put his body in a car crusher.
