New Olympus (Gargoyles)

New Olympus was the home of the New Olympians. Founded around the 5th century BC, New Olympus became a haven for beings which were feared, persecuted, and hunted by humanity. A clan of gargoyles also came to dwell on the isle. Using advanced technology, the natives built a cloaking field, which kept them unseen by human eyes for nearly 2000 years.

However, in 1996, Goliath, Elisa Maza, Angela, and Bronx arrived on New Olympus, and Elisa- despite persecution from the natives- helped foil the escape of the deranged New Olympian Proteus. As a result, the people of New Olympus began to prepare for the inevitable- meeting with humanity.

Eventually, a meeting with humanity would happen, as a human named Terry would wash up on the island and fall in love with the New Olympian Sphinx. As a result of this, the New Olympians would send a delegation- under protest from some- to the United Nations.
