History

The Second Robotech War was a conflict that was fought between the United Earth Government forces and that of the Robotech Masters. Its basis began when the Robotech Master Zor became sickened at the misuse his discovery of Protoculture had resulted in the cosmos. Thus, he sought to deny its use from his own people and hid the Protoculture Matrix on board his flagship that was the battlefortress SDF-1. The ship was launched into space where it crash landed on the planet Earth where it was studied by humanity who developed the science of Robotechnology. In the mean time, Zor's body was cloned and his memories were probed to find the location of the battle fortress with the Zentraedi being dispatched to recover it leading to the events of the First Robotech War and their eventual defeat. This resulted in the Robotech Masters departing their homeworld to recover the Matrix themselves where they journeyed on their motherships to Earth. On Earth, mankind sought to prevent further hostilities with the Robotech Expeditionary Force launching the Pioneer Expedition in order to make peaceful contact with the Robotech Masters. In January 2023, the Robotech Masters fleet arrived in the solar system where they took positions around Saturn causing the UEG to lose contact with Space Station Liberty. An Earth fleet later comes under attack from the unidentified Robotech Masters forces who retreat when reinforcements arrive but not before gathering battle data.

• Zor Prime : clone of the original Zor who created the science of Robotechnology with the Robotech Masters cloning him to probe his genetic memories for the location of the SDF-1. He was brainwashed to serve the Robotech Masters and initially served as a Bioroid commander until he eventually managed to escape the mind control.
