Background

Sevarius once worked for Cyberbiotics, but went to work for Xanatos Enterprises for unknown reasons. After the awakening of what would become known as the Manhattan Clan, Dr. Sevarius was placed in charge of Gen-U-Tech by David Xanatos himself, and was assigned to created a clone of Goliath, which would become Thailog. His second task for Xanatos was to genetically engineer a creature similar to a gargoyle which would serve Xanatos' purposes. This led to the creation of the mutates.

Sevarius recruited Derek Maza, Maggie Reed, Fang, and Claw into his genetics program, turning them all into mutates. In order to attract the attention of the Manhattan Clan, Sevarius allowed Maggie to escape numerous times and be recaptured, and then faked his own death by being tossed into a tank of electric eels by Goliath. Following this, Sevarius completed the Thailog project and, after being briefly captured by Goliath and rescued by Xanatos, tried to capture the Loch Ness Monster. He eventually left Xanatos' company to work for Nightstone Unlimited, during which he created clones of the Manhattan Clan, Delilah (using the DNA of Elisa Maza and Demona) and the virus known as CV-1000.

Greg Weisman's Master Plan

Sevarius would have continued his experiments. He would have broken Fang out of his cell and allied with him in as yet unknown plot, which would have been thwarted by the Redemption Squad.

The Goliath Chronicles

Sevarius embarked on a scheme to create a super-gargoyle named "Little Anton," but the creature fell prey to a degenerative syndrome afflicting the other gargoyle clones.

Comments

The middle name "Bartholomew" was given in The Goliath Chronicles, and may not be canon.
