Biography
Brandon Sharpe
His mother was noted to have had an affair with a politician and ruined his career. This allowed her to start her own career where she began appearing in a jeans ad and posed for a penthouse. During her brief period of fame, she came to be pregnant and gave birth to her son Brandon. She then looked to find the richest candidate she could find and claimed that she was the mother of their child. Instead of marrying her, the person paid her off with his mother using up most of the money as she grew older. By that point, she had faded from public image with no one giving her attention. It was then she found a new way of entering into the spotlight which was through her son Brandon. She hired a manager called Rick and had Brandon take part in acting classes in order for him to become a celebrity. Brandon never liked Rick but his mother refused to listen to her son and believed that the manager's connections would make them famous again. One day, Brandon was sent with Rick in a limo where the manager attempted to rape the young boy. It was in that moment that his electrical powers first manifested and he was rescued from Rick where he was taken to the hospital with his mother rushing to his side. Brandon felt that she lied to the doctor about where his powers came from but noticed that she was regretful for not believing her son regarding Rick. Hugging her son, she vowed to love him and to take better care of him from this point onwards. This became the start of his career at being a superhero where he used his powers to perform at monster truck shows and state affairs. Brandon tried to operate as a crime fighter but he found it as a big waste of time. Sharpe's mother later attempted to have him join the New Warriors reality television show but he was denied entry due to being too young and later joined 'Who Wants To Be a Thunderbolt'. He later met Norman Osborn who took interest in the young boy's powers and potential. The man never tortured Brandon and instead gave him everything he wanted with Sharpe eventually growing bored with this life. This was because he wanted people to notice him and show them his true potential. (Avengers Academy v1 #5)
Striker then other superpowered students that became part of Avengers Academy under Hank Pym. (Avengers Academy v1 #1)
He came to ask both his team mates Finesse and Veil to sleep with him but they refused his offer. Afterwards, he joined his classmates alongside Hank Pym as they went out into the city. During this time, they were beset upon by Whirlwind who blamed Pym for the death of Janet van Dyne and wanted revenge against him. He attempted to kill Reptil though his comrade formed armoured plates that protected him from harm. Striker then used an electric attack in order to knock Whirlwind unconscious with the battle being witnessed by the media. This led to the inaugural class of the Avengers Academy being revealed to the world and hailed as heroes. Afterwards, an ecstatic Veil wanted to reveal their debut to Vance Astrovik who was with his girlfriend Ultragirl. Distraught, she went back to Brandon and kissed him with Sharpe stating he wanted to hook up with her but that he was tired so instead the two laid in bed to talk to each other in the night. Afterwards, he confided his feelings to a deactivated Jocasta unit where it was revealed in a conversation with Brandon's mother that Mrs. Sharpe had been responsible for staging the Whirlwind attack as part of a publicity stunt for her son. Brandon then joined Hazmat and Veil as they tracked down the Hood with them torturing him. During this time, they videoed him where they forced him to apologise for his actions and told him to never harm their families again. By this point, the Hood's associate arrived which led to the three heroes fleeing the scene. (Avengers Academy v1 #8)

Personality and attributes
After manifesting his powers, he developed a white streak of hair. (Avengers Academy v1 #5)
From a young age, his mother had told him he was nothing but that he had to attain fame in order to become something in life. (Avengers Academy v1 #5) He was shown to be impatient where he wanted the spotlight and resented undergoing training as Striker felt he was ready for field work. It was said that Striker tended to be insecure and had a need to assert dominance as an alpha male. (Avengers Academy v1 #1)
Before coming out as gay, he often would ask girls ask to sleep with him. (Avengers Academy v1 #5)
He was not aware of who his real father was and Brandon suspected neither did his mother. (Avengers Academy v1 #5)
Powers and abilities
He first manifested his powers after being nearly sexually assaulted by an older man. Tests from the hospital stated that Brandon tested negative for the Mutant gene. (Avengers Academy v1 #5)
Sharpe could manipulate the voltage and amps from his abilities where he said that the volts did not kill a person. He could manipulate it into a non-lethal electrical current through the brain which was said to be the worst pain a person could experience in life. (Avengers Academy v1 #8)
