Biography

The Terminator

The Terminator was a T-800 series of Terminator developed in the future timeline by Skynet. In its timeline, the artificial intelligence had developed this model of machine to serve as infiltrators designed to root out resistance from the surviving humans on the planet. However, it failed to completely eliminate the threat due to the leadership of John Connor and thus Skynet developed a new strategy. The Terminator was coated in an organic skin allowing it to survive time travel into the past of 1984 where it was tasked with eliminating Sarah Connor who was John Connors mother. The intention was to eliminate her before she could ever give birth to her son thus removing him from the timeline and ending his leadership of the resistance.

Judgement Day

To protect his younger self in the past, John Connor had this Terminator reprogrammed and sent back to 1995 via the time displacement sphere. Upon arrival, it encountered a group of bikers on a bar, stealing one's clothing, injuring various bikers and took the bar owner's sunglasses and weapons. The T-800 then tracked down John Connor in a shopping mall. Following a short fight of hand-to-hand combat with the T-1000 that had been sent by Skynet to kill Connor, a lengthy chase ensued with the T-1000 chasing John through the channels of the LA river system, but the T-800 and John managed to escape the T-1000. Connor questioned the Terminator about itself and who sent it. The Terminator answered that it is a cybernetic organism, having living tissue over its metal endoskeleton. It told John that it was his future self who sent it to protect him.

Rise of the Machines

A Terminator unit in 2032 was created by Skynet in the guise of the machine that protected John Connor in 1997. This was done so that it would lull him to lower his guard and allow the Terminator to successfully assassinate him. The machine succeeded on its assignment but was captured by the Resistance who reprogrammed it. The Terminator was then tasked with going back in time to 2004 to safe the life of John Connor and Katherine Brewster on the onset of Judgement Day. It had to contend with a T-X that had been dispatched with eliminating the two resistance leaders in the past.

Salvation

A Terminator was sent by Skynet to terminate John Connor with this one being modelled on the unit that prevented the original date for Judgment Day. It fought its way to the Home Plate, the Resistance Headquarters, and infiltrated the facility. It entered the room where John was and killed him from behind by surprise. The T-850 was later captured and reprogrammed by General Kate Connor and her team.

After it was sent through the Continuum Transporter and emerged from its time bubble in Joshua Tree, California, it went to a club to acquire its clothing and then proceeded to steal a truck and got sunglasses. It approached Connor in a veterinarian clinic where Brewster worked and took the two with him in the back of Brewster's Toyota Tundra to escape the T-X, a new, highly advanced Terminator. While driving, John asked him about its memories, assuming that this would have the same memories as "Uncle Bob". It stated that the Terminator sent from last time was a different T-101 unit. He then notified John that a T-X was sent back through time to eliminate his lieutenants as well as that his efforts in destruction of the Cyberdyne Building did not stop Judgment Day, but merely postponed it. The T-850 also told John that the T-X was designed to be capable of defeating other Terminators.

Genisys

An alternate timeline saw parties in the future dispatch a reprogrammed Terminator back to 1973 to save the life of Sarah Connor from a T-1000 assassin sent by Skynet. The unit known as the Guardian managed to successfully sae Sarah's life though her parents were killed by the Terminator. Afterwards, it began to raise Connor by itself where it taught her how to defend herself against Skynet's assassins. It briefed her about future events and the birth of her son who had a role in Skynet's destruction. In those years together, Sarah formed a close bond with the Guardian who became almost a father-like figure to her and who she called Pops.

Dark Fate

It was revealed that Skynet had sent multiple Terminator units to assassinate John Connor in 1997. For years, Sarah Connor managed to keep her son safe but one such unit in the guise of 1984 model who succeeded in the machine. However, its mission was too late and Skynet was destroyed thus preventing the artificial intelligence from coming into power. Thus, the Terminator was deprived without purpose until he encountered a woman with a child being beaten by her abusive husband. The Terminator unit helped protect her and began aiding her in caring for her son where he took the name Carl. The pair came to be married with his wife unaware of his true nature whilst him caring for her along with his adoptive son caused him to learn to become more human. The infiltration program thus evolved with the Terminator becoming more human in his responses. Carl came to feel regret over his assassination of the young John Connor. Thus, he began to develop equipment that allowed him to track temporal displacement into the present with this being the sign of the emergence of a Terminator unit. Carl then leaked this information to Sarah Connor so that she could destroy the units in an effort to give her purpose and as part of his penance for murdering John Connor.
