Biography
Zeldris (Japanese: ゼルドリス, Hepburn: Zerudorisu) was a male member of the Demon Clan where he was the son of the Demon King and thus the brother of Meliodas.
He and his brother were both placed under the tutelage of the senior demons named Chandler and Cusack. Cusack was responsible for mentoring Zeldris in combat where he had hoped that his student would become the heir to the Demon King.
It was noted that he came to idolise his brother when he came the leader of the Ten Commandments. Later on, he came to fall in love with a member of the Vampire clan named Gelda with the two meeting in secret.
Overview
Personality and attributes
In appearance, Zeldris was a short muscular young man who looked human and greatly resembled his brother Meliodas. The differences between them were slight such as his hair being spikey black and growing counter clockwise. He also maintained the same demon mark as his brother though his were over his left eye. Among the Ten Commandments, he came to be known as the Zeldris the Piety (敬神のゼルドリス, Keishin no Zerudorisu).
On the surface, he was shown as being a calm and collected person who was not quick to anger.
For a time, he came to believe that Estarossa was his brother when in reality this was simply a memory that had been placed in everyone's mind by the original Gowther. Once the forbidden spell was undone, Zeldris showed no concern over the loss of his fake brother as he commented that he never really cared for his 'sibling'. In fact, he was glad to find out that him and Estarossa were not related to each other by blood.
Long ago, he came to meet a vampire named Gelda where the two had fallen in love. However, their love was kept a secret as they knew it would be disapproved by the Demon King. Despite that, Zeldris deeply loved Gelda and sought to save her when the Vampire clan was ordered to be executed by the Demon King.
