Notes
- Namorita was created by Bill Everett where she made her first appearance in Sub-Mariner v1 #50 (June, 1972).
- It was revealed that writer Chris Yost intended for the character of Water Snake to be one of 12 clones of Namorita with one being used as a means of resurrecting the character in New Warriors but the book ended before the story arc could be written.
Alternate Versions
- In Fantastic Four Unlimited v1 #6 (1994), an alternate version of Namorita appeared in the Pax Atlantea reality that was designated as Earth-9966 in the Multiverse. This version lived in a world where the Fantastic Four never formed resulting in an amnesiac Namor regaining his memories at a later point. He would then vow to destroy the world for the indignities he suffered in that time. Finding his people in Atlantis, Namor married his long time lover Lady Dorma and then began plotting to take over the surface world. Allying himself with his cousin Namora, his daughter Namorita, the Lemurian rulers Llyra and Karthon, as well as the barbarian Attuma, Namor was able to accomplish this goal. Addressing the United Nations, he told them surface dwellers that they could live their lives as long as they respected the will of New Atlantis. Namor then set up a new palace in New York City. Eventually, the Fantastic Four arrived in this reality while on a quest searching for their missing leader Mister Fantastic. The Invisible Woman, the Thing, and the Human Torch were all captured while Ant-Man ended up joining Betty Dean's resistance. While the Invisible Woman played on Byrrah's natural tendency for treachery, Ant-Man led the rebels on an attack on Namor's palace. With Namor dead, Lady Dorma ordered her people to withdraw back to the ocean and let the surface dwellers live lives of their own. The Fantastic Four of Earth-616 then left on the Time Platform.
- In Marvel 1602: Fantastick Four v1 #4 (2006), an alternate version of the character named Rita appeared in the Marvel 1602 reality that was designated as Earth-311 in the Multiverse. Rita is the cousin of Numenor, Emperor of Bensaylum.
