X23_4GAB was a female clone of the Mutant known as X-23. (All-New Wolverine v1 #2) She was created by the Alchemax corporation who sought to recreate the Weapon X programs experiments with initially ten such subjects being made though only four managed to ultimately survived. (All-New Wolverine v1 #4) She was the youngest of the Sisters in the project that was overseen by Robert Chandler, with security provided by Captain Mooney. The girls were created and trained to serve as bodyguards for humanitarian missions and other personnel. (All-New Wolverine v1 #2) In this time, they were often abused by their handlers, particularly Mooney. (All-New Wolverine v1 #3) In this time, her elder Sisters did their best to protect her from the worst of the abuse. X23_4GAB though was incapable of feeling pain due to the nanites implanted in her body that were slowly killing her. With six of her sisters dead due to fatalities on missions, or as a result of the nanites, she escaped along with Zelda, Bellona, and X23 3PAR. (All-New Wolverine v1 #4) They were assisted in their escape by Kimura, who armed and equipped them before sending them after Alchemax for revenge for stealing property from the Facility. (All-New Wolverine v1 #6) With the arms supplied by Kimura, the Sisters launched a campaign against Alchemax, targeting their personnel for assassination. Gabby, however, quickly grew disillusioned with her sisters' more extreme measures. So when 3PAR headed to Paris to assassinate Chandler's son, she sent an anonymous note to Wolverine tipping her off. (All-New Wolverine v1 #2) Laura successfully foiled the assassination attempt, however 3PAR committed suicide rather than be captured. (All-New Wolverine v1 #1) Gabby sought Laura out directly in the aftermath and confronted her about 3PAR's death, as well as admitted that she was the one who sent the note. She then fled Laura's apartment after setting a fire as a distraction, and returned to the sewers where the rest of the girls were hiding. Laura followed her, and against Gabby's objections Bellona shot her four times in the chest to incapacitate her; however, Laura herself was unknowingly being followed by Captain Mooney, and the Sisters freed her to help them deal with the Alchemax soldiers swarming their hideout, before Taskmaster arrived and shot the three fugitive clones. They survived because of their body armor and with Laura's aid escaped into the streets of New York. She took them to the Sanctum Sanctorum to seek the help of Doctor Strange with what was killing the girls. (All-New Wolverine v1 #3) After a misadventure with a monster Bellona inadvertently set loose from a cupboard of horrors, Strange teleported the group to New York Hospital, where he successfully located the nanites which were killing Zelda. Unable to operate on them himself, he sent the girls on to Pym's laboratory to borrow an Ant-Man Suit, so Laura could enter Zelda's body to fight the nanites directly. (All-New Wolverine v1 #4) They were interrupted by Wasp; however, Jan was ultimately convinced to help them. She and Laura were successfully able to fight the devices off, but their attack tripped a warning beacon, alerting Mooney to the girls' location. He attacked them at the lab, and was able to fatally wound Zelda before Laura and Jan could restrain him.  (All-New Wolverine v1 #5)

The captive Gabby was taken by the Cuckoos to become a host body for Esme Cuckoo. (X-23 v4 #3) After taking possession of it, she united her sisters in attempting to claim Cerebro for herself as she intended to live forever. (X-23 v4 #4) With her sisters, she intended to break into the X-Mansion and become incredibly powerful by hijacking Cerebro. Upon arriving a their destination, she was confronted by X-23 and telepathic illusions which were shown to be made by her deceased sister Sophie. The pair revealed Esme's deception to her clone sisters where she stabbed one of the Cuckoos as she battled Laura Kinney. It was then that Mindee used the time to access Cerebro and use its power alongside X-23 and Sophie to exorcise Esme from Gabby's body thus restoring herself to normal. Afterwards, Gabby was reunited with X-23 as they attended a party as a celebration of Laura's birthday. (X-23 v4 #5)

She next attended a stake-out with Laura to watch over a scientist who was among many experts in genetics that were being murdered. Gabby provided support to Laura in the capture of the cyborg assassin who was revealed to be another clone of themselves. The killer was sent to the Tank that served as a prison for things that could not be classified with Beast looking to get the X-Assassin transferred to the Institute when the facility came under attack from armed men. Honey Badger felt sympathy for the cyborg clone and attempted to convince Laura to save her. (X-23 v4 #7)

The death of X-Assassin was deeply felt by Gabby who came to see other clones of them as being sisters. However, Lauren intended to hunt down the remaining labs and destroy the clones under the belief they would be stopping more from suffering. This eventually led to a rift forming between Gabby and Laura with Honey Badger deciding to strike out on her own following an argument with X-23. (X-23 v4 #11)

Powers and abilities

Notes

 • Gabrielle was created by Tom Taylor, David Lopez, and David Navarrot where she made her first appearance in All-New Wolverine v1 #2 (January, 2016).
 • She was given the code name Honey Badger in All-New Wolverine v1 #28 (2017).
 • In an interview on CBR, writer Tom Taylor commented that, "Gabby represents what Laura could have been — what all the sisters could have been. Craig Kyle, Christopher Yost and Billy Tan told a fantastic X-23 story of Laura as a child called “Innocence Lost.” Gabby is the “innocence lost.” The sisters have managed to protect her as she’s grown. They’ve managed to preserve her innocence."
