Modern

Alchemax was a powerful mega-corporation that was created by Liz Allan whose foundation was created through the merger of her fathers company Allan Chemical with her son Normie Osborn's holdings in Oscorp and the intellectual property taken from Horizon Labs by Tiberius Stone. (Superior Spider-Man v1 #19)

Later on, Alchemax competed with Parker Industries for a contract to build a new supervillain prison. In order for Alchemax to win the contract, Mark Raxton and Tiberius Stone enlisted Ghost to help sabotage their competition in Parker Industries. (Amazing Spider-Man v3 #16) Despite their efforts, both companies lost that contract to Regent's Empire Unlimited, with the company also being behind Ryker's Island being renamed as the Cellar. (Amazing Spider-Man v4 #1)

Using genetic material of X-23, the Alchemax Genetics division created clones of her that were known as the Sisters. (All-New Wolverine v1 #2) This consisted of ten such subjects who were put through brutal training that killed many of them. (All-New Wolverine v1 #4) This was until only four of them survived that included Zelda, Bellona, Gabby and an unidentified fourth. (All-New Wolverine v1 #2)

Following a scandal, Dr. Xander Zynn sold his company Humanitech Robotics Inc. with Alchemax acquisitions wing purchasing it as it was selling cheap. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #791)

A statue made of Tritium was given to Alchemax for safekeeping after it was discovered that it was being used to blackmail the city. Liz Allan decided to use the statue as a means of generating power and held a public demonstration as they intended to use it for power requirements. The demonstration was interrupted by the Goblin Nation who sought to acquire it for their own purposes but they were fought off by Spider-Man and Agent Anti-Venom. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #796)

Alchemax Genetics under the leadership of Robert Chandler came to succeeds in creating several clones of Laura Kinney, though the girls did not manifest her mutation. When the clones Bellona, Gabby, and Zelda escape and begin assassinating Alchemax personnel, they requested her aid in stopping them. Despite Chandler's assurances to the contrary, it soon becomes apparent that Alchemax is not as innocent in the conflict as they claim. Laura and her 'sisters' are soon attacked by Alchemax Genetics' head of security, Captain Mooney, who attempts to kill the girls. (All-New Wolverine v1 #2) When X-23 and Wasp are able to destroy the nanites inside the sisters, it triggered a signal that leads Alchemax Genetics' security team to one of Hank Pym's labs where Zelda is killed in the process. Before dying from her wounds after X-23 subdues Captain Mooney, Zelda tells X-23 to put an end to the experiments of Alchemax Genetics. (All-New Wolverine v1 #5)

Tiberius Stone, representing Alchemax, was seen in a secretive meeting at the Universal Bank with Sebastian Shaw of Shaw Industries, Wilson Fisk of Fisk Industries, Dario Agger of Roxxon Energy Corporation, Darren Cross of Cross Technological Enterprises, Zeke Stane of Stane International, Shingen Harada of the Yashida Corporation, Frr'dox of Shi'ar Solutions Consolidated, and Wilhelmina Kensington of Kilgore Arms. The purpose was to confront Agger over his 'discourtesies' with the Ten Realms of Asgard. Exterminatrix of the Midas Corporation showed up and knocked out Agger while claiming that she was the new member of their group. (Mighty Thor v2 #8)

Bonding to the Carnage symbiote, Norman Osborn attempted to threaten Liz into turning Alchemax over to him. However, she refused and later obtained a sample of the Carnage symbiote that she kept for study. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #800)

2099

Overview

In appearance, Alchemax was a global corporation that operated on Earth. (Spider-Man 2099 v1 #1)

It was headed by a Board of Directors that consisted of senior executives within the company. (Spider-Man 2099 v1 #2)

Among their creations included:

  • Rapture : a high-powered mind expanding hallucinogen that was highly addictive with Alchemax being the only distributor of the drug. (Spider-Man 2099 v1 #1)
  • Gene Dolls :
  • A-Droid : an Alchemax Droid phone model produced by the company in the modern age. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #791)
  • Anti-Venom : Research was combined with the Anti-Venom serum and samples of cloned Symbiote-organisms that had been virally lobotomised to make them immune to the Symbiote hive's mental commands. Cross engineering these samples yielded some limited success with the prototype Anti-Venom suits were placed in rapid deployment modules allowing them to be equipped by a bearer. When worn, they allowed the wearer to repel any attempt by a Symbiote to take over the host's body but their lifespan's outside their containment modules was extremely finite. (Black Cat v2 #2)
  • Carnage Strain :

They had experimented in the use of Tritium as a power supply despite its unstable and explosive nature. (Amazing Spider-Man v1 #796)

  • Alchemax was created by Peter David and Rick Leonardi where it made its first appearance in Spider-Man 2099 v1 #1 (November, 1992).

Television

  • In Ultimate Spider-Man, Alchemax briefly appeared in the animated television series in the episode "The Spider-Verse" Pt. 1. It was among the billboards seen when Spider-Man arrived in Spider-Man 2099 universe.

Films

  • In Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Alchemax Labs appeared in the setting of the animated film. It was shown to exist in the setting where one of its chief scientists was Olivia Octavius. With her scientific knowledge, she worked with the Kingpin who hired her to create an interdimensional portal into the Multiverse so he could be reunited with his wife Vanessa Fisk and son Richard Fisk both of whom had died on his world.
  • In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Alchemax briefly appeared in the setting of the animated film sequel.

Video games

  • In Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Alchemax made an appearance in the setting of the video game during its 2099 sequences. It was shown as being a corrupt corporation that ruled the late 21st century and controlled the domineering law enforcement division known as Public Eye. One of their branches was responsible for covert experiments and was referred to as the shadow division.
  • In Spider-Man: Edge of Time, Alchemax made an appearance in the setting of the video game. One of its scientists named Dr. Walker Sloan sought to use time travel technology to alter the timeline to establish himself as Alchemax's founder and remove his corporate rivals. Spider-Man 2099 journeyed through the Gateway to stop him and save the original Spider-Man's life. As a result of events, time was in flux leading to one timeline where Peter Parker was the CEO of Alchemax who sought to use time causality to remake reality in his own image.
  • In Spider-Man Unlimited, Alchemax appeared in the background of the iOS video game.
