U.S. Animated
The Stunticons were created by Megatron to match and discredit the Autobots; they were initially equipped with anti-gravity and force field technology. The five were given their personalities by Vector Sigma.
Marvel U.S., Marvel U.K.
The Stunticons were given life by Megatron, who intercepted some of Optimus Prime's Creation Matrix energy to do so. They were designed to discredit the Autobots.
Dreamwave
The Stunticons were a Decepticon sungroup feared for their psychotic behavior.
