Wolfgang von Strucker

During World War I, he fought for Germany and served as a corporal in the army when he encountered the time-displaced Momentary Princess in Leipzig that appeared at regular intervals in history. After seeing it, Strucker touched it and saw a vision of the future where he became the leader of Hydra before the relic disappeared again. (Gambit v3 #10)

Over 20 years ago, he led the surviving forces of the Hydra Bruderschaft that sought to re-establish themselves. Strucker came to learn of a secret cache of gold that could be accessed by a young Jewish girl named Gabrielle Haller. Thus, he sent his forces to kidnap her where he had the girl open the doorway to the gold cache that was hidden in a cave. They were then attacked by Charles Xavier and his friend Magnus both of whom were Mutants where they had come to free their friend Gabrielle. This resulted in Strucker's defeat with Magnus taking away the gold and a cave-in being triggered that seemingly buried the Baron. (Uncanny X-Men v1 #161)

At some point, he had a two Mutant children named Andrea and Andreas Strucker who formed a group named Fenris. (Uncanny X-Men v1 #200)

He later came to marry his third wife who was Elsbeth von Strucker who was noted for being a smart woman that kept to the shadows with few knowing about her and her becoming the fourth richest person in the world. She was a Satanist who had been funding Hydra since 1957 with her taking four kings and three presidents as lovers as she lived to be 175 years old in the modern day. (Wolverine v3 #23)

He stated that he departed the ranks of the Hydra when they allowed those he deemed impure and unclean into their ranks during the events of the Secret Empire. Due to tax cuts in the American government, the United States began recruiting people to run prisoners with Strucker being awarded a position. This resulted in him managing the Myrmidon which was a private penal facility designed to hold those that were enhanced beings. As warden, he headed the prison when Steve Rogers was arrested for the apparent murder of General Ross. (Captain America v9 #7)
