Bart O'Ryan was a lawyer with an unknown source of inside information on SEMME (possibly Dargon Chesterfield's group). After SEMME was revealed to the world by the resurrected Head Alien, O'Ryan made it his mission to bring the agency down, and became their best-known public opponent. He participated in the trial of Sal Walters, and later planned to destroy SEMME (shortly before the Martian invasion) by revealing Joyce's murder of her duplicate (among other things). He even planned to prosecute her with Sarah Clinton's help. However, even O'Ryan was not exempt from being targeted by the Martians, and his fate is uncertain.
